Cold water pours in during final spin

I have a Kenmore stacked washer/dryer combo model number 417.98702891 (not sure of the year). When I run it through the regular cycle with the water set to Hot/Cold, it works perfectly. When I run the same cycle on Cold/Cold, it doesn't. It will fill and drain fine and shuts off when it is full.

The problem is that the final part of the cycle, the spin, it will pour water out while spinning thus making the clothes wet when it is done (occasionally the tub will be partially full at the end of the cycle). If I switch the water from Cold/Cold to Hot/Cold during this final spin, the water will turn off and it will function normally. It does this for all cycle settings.

At first I suspected the timer was bad, but I now suspect it is the cold water inlet valve. However, if it is the cold water inlet valve, why would it work fine throughout the cycle except during the final spin?

There is something clogging your pump, dismantle it to clear it. Plug off the wall socket mains first.

SOURCE: Water Shut off

It sounds like you need a new control valve. the control valve turns on and off the hot and cold water, its electronically controlled so it could be something else but more than likely its just the valve. I had mine go out about 6 months ago, plug and play i was out $30 but that was it.

SOURCE: dryer noise sounds like bearing out or a roller is

my dryer makes a funny noise about 10 to 15 min. into cycle. then shuts off. if you try to restart will not restart unless you hold start button down. once you let go will stop. wait about an hour and dryer will run for another 10- 15 min and start process over again.

Just purchased used a Kenmore stacked washer/dryer: tub spins during aggitation cycle. So my clothes are spinning around in water but not being aggitated. Now Im aggitated!! Grr!! How much will it cost...

Sounds like the plastic spacer between the transmission and the tub has broke. Part is no more than 5-10 bucks. Labor, not sure. Did you buy the warranty....I think you still have time to buy it if it's new... But I think Kenmore may guarantee for 30 days but you may want to call where you bought it from new.

Water under stackable washer dryer

The front panel comes off and you will be able to trace the water source. These combo units spin immediatly and if the drain is slow the water will spin up over the edge of the tub during drain.

No rinse

Make sure that you have both, hot and cold water connected and turned on. Some models will not advance through rinse if one of the hot or cold is off. See if this solves the problem, Catriver.
