Have you tried to do a reset via the monitors menu options?

you likely have the "screen size" option set to allow the TV determine the best size (3:4 , 16:9, ...). Set it manually to 16:9 for HD channels or 3:4 for low-def channels.

The line should go away. This is a common problem on Samsung, Sony (Green line right side) and Phillips (yellow line left side).

adjust the monitor as all default, if there is a problem i think the problem come from hardware, contact service center to fix it

This is an easy fix using the Philips remote control that came with your tv. On the center of the remote is a dial that has left right up down controls. Stand in front of the tv and using those controls you can recenter the screen and get rid fo the green line. I had same problem when we hooked up hd satellite reciver to philips 37 plasma

If its a LCD projection TV (such as Sony Wega, Hitachi, Epson, Philips, and some Panasonic, some Mitsubishi), and the green image is in the whole screen or just one part as a blob or a line. Is most probably that one of your LCD Color Filters is damaged (burned out or starting to get busted), I don’t know if you can just replace the color filter, I believe you need to change the whole light engine system or the optical block. I had the same problem when we hooked up an hd satellite box. It's a simple solution using the Philips remote that came with your tv. The dial in the center of the remote with up down left right control will move the picture left or right up or down by holding the direction you want to go. Make sure to stand in front of tv.

Hope so; the problem could be an expensive one.

The screen appearance is controlled by allowing light from a backlight through by turning pixels off and on.
This switching is done by a matrix that turns on vertical and horizontal pixels of the right shade at the right time to produce the image you see.
One of the control elements for the vertical that controls the transmission of green light from the backlight, has died (no longer switching off and on when told) and these are normally a part of the LCD screen assembly itself and not easily replaceable.

I would be talking to Sharp - this shouldn't happen in 6-7 months of use.
