there is no reset button, the reset is to disconnect power to the unit and see if it starts up ok, you do say problem but if it is loading problem then resetting it will not fix it.
The problem normally is to the reading head.
You have to open the player find the head and clean it with a cotton stick very gently.
Then try to listen a cd. If it works it's ok, or else your head is broken and you have to replace it thing that I am not suggesting because of the high cost of the head.
Just accumulated dust can cause issues with the reader pickup I'm not sure what T99 means but if you want to spend $35-90 to fix it, it would be worth it.
I had the same problem. I opened up the unit and found out that there is a plastic gear that moves the loader. When worn the loader can not load tha magazines nor change cd's. I replaced the gear and the cd autochanger worked fine.
i have a sony mini Hi-Fi Component System MHC-GX470. I comes on, the Radio and Tape deck plays well. the CD Player says "mecha Error" and hangs. CAN YOU PLEASE HELP ME???

I suggest the lens needs a clean, or someone has dropped it and broken the delicate lens mech.
Luck
Hi the kenwood changers suffer from jamming up, and dry joints on the socket.
try wiggleing the large socket/cable on the cd changer.
otherwise you will need to take it for repair.
if you would like to have it repaired, please see www.carradiospares.co.uk
HI
when you put the mag in does it try to load? ie does the cd select the trays?
if not then it sounds like you have a faulty unit and will need to get it repaired.
