if your talkin about a disk then you are trying to charge from a usb right!
if u are, then you only need to turn it on and plug it, and the charging process should start alone, if it doesint you have another problem!
about the driver, or the software for your walkman, you need its name first, then you can google for it , like this (download "the walkman name" drivers).
download the latest drivers, then restart pc, then turn on device, then hook up to usb, then go to start menu, then my computer, then find your device and double-click to open the files. Or go to media player 11, sync device and transfer the songs to music file.
Try uninstalling the walkman software from your computer (Window's has it conveniently placed in your control panel for removing programs) and reinstalling the walkman software. You could also try finding the driver from another forum (or this one) and download/install the new driver and see if that helps
It used to be that when I plugged my walkman into my PC, the screen would read "connecting" but would never actually connect, so I couldn't add/remove songs from the walkman or even recharge it. The solution is easy. Plug your walkman into your PC, and then go to
Control Panel --> Device Manager --> Portable Devices --> Walkman
If you have the same problem as me, the Walkman icon will appear with a yellow exclaimation mark, signifying a problem. Just right click the icon, and selecte "Uninstall". After that, the driver will be removed from the PC. Now, unplug your walkman from the PC, and then re-plug it in, and the driver on the Walkman will automatically upload to the PC, and everything should be back to normal and the Walkman should work perfectly.
The problem is that the Walkman driver in the registry was partially damaged somehow (I think during a registry clean up I did earlier). Just uninstall it, reinstall it by plugging in your walkman to the PC, and voila. Let me know how it works for y'all!
I bought a new Sony NWZ-B133F/BCE Walkman. When I plugged it to the USB
the drivers got properly installed, but the player does not show as a
removable device or any other device in My Computer. just follow...be sure your player is connected to pc
go to my computer right click>>properties> IN HARDWARE TAB
select device manager>portable audio>right click select update
drivers>click next>tick the option let me choose driver for this
device>next choose usb mass storage driver from two options click
next....
AND U R DONE....
