If you don't see anything in the programs file like Arcsoft webcam or something with webcam in the name chances are it don't but if you are wanting to use it like for yahoo or something that uses a web cam it will work with their software just allow it to have access to your cam the drivers should have come with the computer installled already to run it with other programs if not you can go to the manufacturers webpage find your computer driver downloads and download what you need there.
A couple of things to try.
1) Go into your BIOS and ensure that the webcam isn't somehow turned off in the BIOS.
2) Go into Device Manager in Windows, find the webcam. Right click on it and remove it. Then reboot the computer and let Windows find it, and reinstall the drivers again.
3) You may also want to reinstall the Toshiba specific drivers and software which likely includes drivers for the webcam. You may have a CD that came with the laptop, otherwise you can go to
http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/modelContent.jsp?ct=SB&os=&category=&moid=2769587&rpn=PSC13U&modelFilter=C650-Z2510T&selCategory=2756709&selFamily=1073768667
and reinstall the webcam application for your laptop.
Hope this helps!!
Is this an external webcam or is it built-in? If it's external, follow these instructions:
Go to the webcam manufacturer's website and look for a driver download. Try installing it.
If that fails, next go to your driver settings, look for the webcam, and uninstall it. Restart your computer and install the new driver again. Restart again and try out the webcam.
If it's built-in, specify the exact model of your computer.
You will need to make sure that Smart Cam is compatible with Win XP or not also if it compatible then Download the drivers of Smart Cam for Win XP and then install them.
Acer uses its own program called Crystal Eye to run its webcam. If you don't have it, go to Toshiba support drivers and put your model of laptop in the search box and then pick your operating system and it will give you a menu of the available drivers and applications for your system. You need this program to work the integrated webcam.
And then you can download a program called "Driver genius" from link
http://www.qwerks.com/download/6776/drvgenpro.exe
it is a trial program for 15 days
dont worry we only need it for 5 minutes
Install & run the program & in the windows click on the update the drivers
Itwill check & it will give the window with the drives that needs tobe updated & it will not update a it is a trial one.
So
youjust right click on the driver name, you will get a message
called'copy url address 1' copy that & open the orbit downloader
&click on the create new download & paste the link the drivers
willbe downloaded for free.
Some sites give these drivers only
forthe money & we cannot be able to find them from the free sites,
soi think this would be a nice trick.
