I have a Panasonic CT-36G34 TV. Sometimes it has pictures and sometimes it has a long line at the middle of screen. I would like to know where the vertical deflection circuit is located. Thanks a lot.
There is a single ic you need to find, usually location ic301 or 401---it will have between 7 and 13 pins in a single straight row---a generic number is printed on the front---usually begins with a LA but can be different
Locate the chip and gain access to the bottom of the board, the pins on the chip break loose from heat==SOLDER ALL THE PINS BACK AND YOU SHOULD BE GOOD TO GO---its a very common problem in these sets.
something like this with more pins possible--will be attached to metal of some sort to keep it cool.

You have an intermittant vertical sweep circuit! It could be the vertical out put IC solder connections on the printed circuit board, or maybe the IC itself has poor connections between the IC and the contact legs that mount the IC, or another componet in the vertical sweep circuit. If you know how to solder and unsolder, work on printed circuit boards, then you shoul have no problem replacing the vertical sweep circuit. Good Luck

suspect it's 1 or a couple of bad capacitors in the vertical deflection circuit the caps are in the 400 series, c400,c401,c402, etc... check or replace c414,c418 & c417

this product has a pincushion problem and requires servicing but unfortunatley it is what we call in the business NECO

I would suggest to locate a part that looks like the one on this link and re solder all the pins, also check for any high power resistor nearby the IC295890 and put some fresh solder.
Let me know if you need further assistance.
