I had my phone out in the sun while I was laying out today. The phone got pretty hot, and at the end of the day the screen wouldn't work. I hoped that after the phone cooled off it would work again, but no such luck so far. Anyone know any solutions to this problem, or at least how to change a screen?
Your best bet is probably to change the screen. They always say not to leave an LCD screen in direct sunlight; they can be permanently damaged by heat.
There are a few options for retailers of replacement screens. They start at about $30.

Once you have that, check out this guide. For respect of them, I won't just copy the content here, but the guide is otherwise pretty comprehensive. Be aware that you need a T4 Torx Screwdriver, if you don't have already. Those run under $5 online, if you do need.

Not the shortest repair, but not the hardest, With a little work, you will save yourself from buying a new handset and extending your contract. If you doubt your own abilities in this one, almost all carriers carry the V3; take it to a local wireless store and ask them to repair it. It probably will be more expensive if they do it at all, but still cheaper than a replacement.

hi try to leave this in the window sill preferably in the sun for a couple of days then try again if not place the battery next to the phone in the sun for two more days , if not you may have to take it back to the shop for a repair :)
this happened to me today actually. yeah apparently its from there being pressure on the phone screen. its not going to go away, and mine ended up taking the entire front screen by the end of the day. if its under warranty, they will give you a new one i think. but when i went in today, without phone insurance, of course they are not going to give you a new one for free. unless its still under warranty
You don't, the screen is destroyed. LCDs do not do well in the sun, the seams seperate and the liquid oozes and runs out of the panel. Try laying it face down in a very dark and cool room for a day or two, maybe just maybe the damage isn't too severe and it will recover.
Most likely your screen has either received water/moisture damage, or the screen got bumped pretty hard on something. The LCD is pretty much dead, and can possibly be repaired by your provider. But I would reccomend getting a new phone if possible either via upgrade or purchasing a used one on ebay.
hello basicly the the liquid is the lcd that lays between the screen that gives you the display if this fluid escapes it will no longer display properly and as it leaks more display will be lost ,to solve you will need to replace the screen
