I just bought an Esky dog training collar, but when I plug the receivers in to charge, the reciever beeps and flashes lights but won't charge. What am I doing wrong?

they are only for training,you should be all done training in 30 days,contact the company or replace the batteries

You should not be using cruel, barbaric methods such as this to train your dog under any circumstances. Shame on you !

It may be silly, but is the new battery giving 9 volts?
Sometimes a new one lost it's voltage along the way.
Leds will work just fine, so can give you the wrong message.
I hope it is as simple as this.

Please don't use this device. I used to use these on my poor dogs for training..then I received a shock from the collar myself and it hurt like hell! (I also had undergone a test that used electric current to "test" my muscle reflex..boy, did that hurt..had to make them stop the test and asked "how could you do this to someone..it's like a form of torture!! Dawned on me that that's exactly what I was doing to my poor dogs!!)So, please have a little compassion..there are other ways to train your dog. Like positive reinforcement!

Take the dog collar off and attach the charm to the collar ring that should be hanging from every collar. Then re-attach it to your dog. That way your dog won't get too stressed while you try and fit it on.

A choke collar (choke chain/slip chain) is a type of training collar. Before using this on your dog you should seek out training tools from a professional, so that you don't hurt your dog.

My Esky dog collar does not work in any mode. The first problem was when the collar would not stop beeping. Now it will turn on, but it will not beep, vibrate or shock. What do I do?

One or more of the cells in the battery may have died while it wasn't being used. LI-Po batteries are memory resistant but they can still develop one if they're left fully discharged too long or at a half charge too long. They require full charge\discharge cycles to keep them from developing a memory.
