No more sound from speaker

I can no longer hear the sound from my ppc speaker, when I plug a headset in I hear the sound fine, and when I use my bluetooth headset I can hear the calls fine, I can hear the tap sounds before Voice command releases if I tap on the screen. The only sound that I hear from the phone with out a headset is the lost signal tone. When the phone starts up and when the phone has lost its wireless signal I can hear the signal loss tone just fine. Does that tone operate via a diffrent speaker?

I had a similar issue on mine. The easy fix was to insert a headset jack and pull it out quickly. I think something got stuck that turns off the speaker after I put the headset in the jack once. If this is the problem, I think you should also see a headset icon when making calls, even though no headset is attached.

Why my headset not working/realtek?

Do the speakers work? Maybe you have the headset plugged into the wrong Jack. Maybe you have the headset on Mute. If the speakers work, unplug where the speakers go into the computer's port and plug the headset into that same port and see if you hear anything. If not, maybe your headset is bad.

I have a hannspree comp monitor and an emachines media center CPU. My sound comes thru my comp screen speakers. I am trying to configure a radio shack multimedia headset so i can game and also use it...

I solved the issue last nite w/online chat w/rulds2008.

Had to unplug the regular headset from the comp, then use the very pink plug on the Radio Shack Multi Media Headset and plug that into there.

Then the other odd sorta pinkish/fushia colored plug goes into the mic spot.

Headset & speaker both are playing at same time

Most probably headphone socket in the laptop is dirty. Spray some WD 40 or replace it.

When making video calls on Windows Live w/ Lifecam NX-6000, I hear lots of static from the other caller, but they can hear me just fine. If perchance I get good sound from them, then after about 2-3 mins...

Normal 0 If the people you are talking to have speakers they hear you and you will get feed back of your voice. Have them turn down the speaker level or better yet use a headset and this will no longer be a problem.
Hope this helps. Bud

Sound only works with headset. No longer comes

If the sound is working through another device then it seems that the internal speakers are bad. Because if the sound card was bad you wouldn't have any sound whatsoever, same goes for drivers. Probably just some bad speakers. If you have some other external speakers try plugging them into the headphone port and see if that helps.

Computer headset problems

It sounds like something in the control panel on your computer, Go into the sound settings and pick your device.

No Voice Through Headset

From another website. I can't take any credit:

"I'm using Vista.

Okay, I finally figured out how to fix it ....

Control Panel -> Sound -> Right-click "Properties" -> "Levels" Tab -> Un-mute Microphone and move the slider to 100."

Then turn up the headset speaker control all the way.

Speaker microphone malfunction

I had same problem with my PPC so I tried hard reset didn't help, PCS support did hard reset and nothing, same problem so what I did is insert that headset plug in and out couple of times that fix the problem but any time I use my wired headset problem comes back.
I realized that the problem was in the 2.5 jack it self, I took it to Sprint store, left it for a hour when I am back the tech guy said that they replace my phone with new one, oh well this is third phone in less then 14 mos.
But anyway now it works just fine so I try to use Bluetooth headpiece much is possible. Waiting for my 2 year contract to end so I can get PPC-6800 or something better, had too many problems with this phone. I like the phone but it was freezing up on me every day and tech support didn't do s!#@!#t for me to fix it until this problem comes up, I'm kind of glad it did :-) in the way.

Logitech headset, new vista operating system

either the headset is not supported by Vista, or you need to right click on both speaker icons, normally coloured red and black and in the properties you need to see if your headset is listed as one of the microphone input devices, if you need to make the Logitech headset the default mic and not the windows generic mic. If you do not see it in the properties then it may not be recognised by Vista.
