I have a magic jack and i can just talk for 1 hour and then it automatically hangs up. then when i try to redial the number it takes at least 5 attempts to get ahold of the person i was talking to and most of the time i can not get through on the phone and have to use my mouse or keyboard to enter te number before it starts to work again. so please if any ideas let me know. thanks
I thought it might be the HW so I tried my other Magic Jack It hangs up in exactly 2 hours.
Customer service does not recognize problem.
I replace original MJ and I am back to hang ups in 1 hour.
I use this for business and is not good when you hang up on a customer, BUT you get what you pay for.
All in all it is a very good deal you cant beat anywhere.
I just wish they would state the limits, and evidently, make them uniform.

Well, you'd best go to Magic Jack's web site, and either log in to your sister's account and cancel it, or try to find a Magic Jack customer support telephone number and make the call.
On most cell phones, to redial the last phone number dialed, press the green phone icon when the keypad is displayed on the screen. You can only redial the last number dialed. To obtain a copy of the user manual, follow this link and download the pdf.
http://www.gsmarc.com/huawei/ascend-g610/manual/
When you go to caller ID, move to the number you want to redial. Press *. The 1 will be added at the beginning of the number, then you can just press talk.
Don't confuse the two. In most systems, the RECALL button gives you new dial tone on the line you're currently on, and the REDIAL function will dial the last number dialed or a saved number.
Since you're asking about a phone and did not list the SYSTEM, if you set has Last Number (LNR) or just redial, when you press the button, it will either try to use the last line dialed, or you may have to select an outside line and get a dial tone, then press the LNR button. It will dial out. If you press the RECALL button, it will drop your present call and give you new dial tone without having to hang up, pick up the handset, and select a line. You may actually have to press both buttons to effect a LNR sequence.
I talked to 3 operators. The long and the short of it is that they had me:
1. remove a Majic Jack related folder from an applications folder
2. insert MJ1 and MJ2 in the Windows Firewall exceptions
3. format the Majic Jack software "drive"....and then install an upgrade.
Based on this, I think the problem crops up in the Majic Jack software. So far, it has fixed my problem, though I've not made a long call yet.
I found the Majic Jack operators very helpful. Be sure to have them step you through this.
I dont know how we got disconnected but here is the instructions
Adjust the width of the document guides (1) to fit the actual size of the document. 2 Insert the document (up to 10 pages) FACE DOWN (2) until a single beep is heard and the unit grasps the document. L If the document guides are not adjusted to fit the document, re-adjust them. 3 If necessary, press {A} or {B} repeatedly to select the desired resolution. 4 Press {DIGITAL SP-PHONE}. 5 Dial the fax number. 6 When a fax tone is heard: Press {FAX/START}. When the other party answers your call: Ask them to press their start button. When the fax tone is heard, press {FAX/START
To redial the last number 1. Press {REDIAL/PAUSE}. 2. Press {SET}. L If the line is busy, the unit will automatically redial the number up to 2 times. L To cancel redialing, press {STOP}. To send more than 10 pages at a time Insert the first 10 pages of the document. Add the other pages (up to 10 at a time) before the last page feeds into the unit. Pre-dialing a fax number You can dial the fax number first before inserting the document. This is convenient if you need to refer to the document for the other party’s fax number. 1. Enter the fax number. 2. Insert the document. 3. Press {FAX/START}. Sending from memory (Quick scan feature) You can scan the document into memory before sending it. To use this feature, activate feature #34 (page 62). 1. Insert the document. 2. Enter the fax number. 3. Press {FAX/START}. L The document will be fed into the unit and scanned into memory. The unit will then transmit the data. If the document exceeds the memory capacity, transmission will be canceled and this feature will be turned OFF automatically. You must transmit the entire document manually. L This feature cannot be used if {DIGITAL SPPHONE}, {TALK} or {SP-PHONE} is pressed. To stop transmission Press {STOP}.
I think this feature is dependent on your system - the phone display is in agreement with the entire network. Check to see what system your phone is on - ours is a Strata DK-280 - and then search Google to find a total solution to changing time.
