Re: No Sound After Transfer To PC
Has this just recently started happening? If you're not getting sound, then its got to be the cable. Check the connections, and try to reinstall the software for the camera. If that still doesn't work, replace the cord

This is a very roundabout way of recording from YouTube. There are many free utilities to capture YouTube or other website videos directly in your computer, without using a camera and getting the degradation involved. If you want the clip on your camera, you can just copy it there over the USB connection afterwards (you might need to convert the format).
The video capture software I use will automatically sense video playing in my browser and capture it. It is called Sothink Web Video Downloader, and I got it from www.download.com (free download).
hmmm...i have a kodak digicam and i happen to have the same prob, when i record videos (which is one of its features) there is no sound when i play it in the camera... but ofcourse it says in the manual that there is sound ... i got tired of solving it so i just used it for photos... when the card is already full, i transferred it to my pc and guess what... the videos i took from the digicam has a sound... well i dunno why it doesnt play in the cam but its okay i an always transfer it to the pc... try to transfer it to ur pc and check if the video has sound....
some cameras doesnt support all shooting modes with sound try to change resolution of the video and see if the sound works , does sound works on like pc if u take this clip to pc will it work there , if yes then ur tiny speaker in the camera is faulty if there is no sound on pc as well then 2 things either select a different lower res and try or the built in mic is not working
Your Camera records sound but does not play it back on the device. Go to www.vivitar.com and download the driver for your camera. Install it on your pc and you should have sound when playing video in windows media.
Hi, i had a customer with what sounds to be the same problem with copying the .mov files. The reason for it being she needed the codecs to get the sound working or it would copy the disc with no sound. the way we fixed it was we needed to buy the Nero Premium as it gives you the extra codecs built in.
if your copying films etc your best to download dvd shrink you can find it free by searching on google.com
Hope this helps
