Hi,
I purchased this unit 2 years ago and have had a problem free run, over the last couple of days however i have had a problem whereas when I turn up the volume to say -30 it comes up with an overload message on the screen and then automatically shuts down.
I have checked all of the wiring thoroughly and cant seem to find any faults.
Can you suggest anythinng

Lee
Appreciate your help, seems to have solved the problem, disconnected all speakers, reconnected one by one and sure enough one seemed to make it overload, removed and re-ran the relevant wiring and it's all go.
Thanks again !

Re: Pioneer VSX 915
Disconnect the speaker leads and see if this stops happening. If it does, connect up the speakers till the problem pops up, and that speaker that makes the problem happen is most likely bad. If the problems still happens with no speakers attached, then there is a problem in the audio output amp, and is going to need service , Good Luck

hi,
You have to order for the IR receivermodule for the system. Also check inside the frond panel of the system is there is any durstaccumulated in frond of the IR receiver unit.
ok
www.pioneerusa.com then support. I could not find VSX-416. Depending on where you purchased the unit, it may be the same as another similar model #. You can browse thru the models and pdf them for free. Hope this helps
Hi Glen. The thing with these new units is that they are so fussy when it comes to frequency range on the speakers. The frequency has to be within the range that the amplifier specifies, or you'll have problems. I suggest that you check your manual to see what the required frequency shuold be and take it from there. I have one myself and love Pioneer
Had a power surge last night and got the same problem. Unit wont power on and has a blinking blue light on standby button. I found the solution from the service manual for a similar model.
Hold down ENTER and ADVANCED SURROUND buttons.
This resets the DC overvoltage sensor and bingo the unit comes back to life again.
if you have an EQ hooked up it will not work correctly with dolby digital playback and will dammage the reciever.
sorry, just got here , but I have the same unit and have had it for 5+ years and it still works great ! but if you want any device to last unplug it when you are not going to use it for a while.
