A bit more info - when I hold won Device and Menu, I get error code 12, which i think indicates No error found. Does that still point to the DM? Thanks!

I have a similar problemwith my 55859, had the blinking green light and nothing else. Replaced the 7 capacitors  on the DM and powered up the TV. CRT's come on then dim, no audio or video. Then TV shuts off after about 5 minutes When checking I get .error code 12. I checked the F9A02 F9A03 F9A04 F9A05 and all were good. Any ideas or suggestions. Thanks in advance, Mitch

Although it's happened before and corrected itself, I don't think I can get it working this time.  It's been plugged in a few days without being used and it's still doing this.  Otherwise, same "timer" problem.

    Best regards.

The Mitsubishit WS-55859 TV sat for a couple of weeks without being plugged in. When I finally plugged it in I got a fast blinking green light on the front of the set. Prior to that the set never required a service call at all.
I have read on this sight and others that it could be the capacitors on the DM board. Is there anyone out there with the instructions or the know how for this particular fix? My e-mail is [email protected] if anyone can help.

I have a WS-65907 tv, it wont turn on

Mitsubishi self check: MOST OF THESE SETS HAVE A SELF DIAGNOSTIC:

UNPLUG TV AND THEN PLUG BACK IN---TURN ON---GREEN POWER LIGHT COMES ON FOR A MOMENT AND GOES OFF.

PRESS AND HOLD "device"(input) and "menu" buttons on front of tv for at least 5 seconds and then release both together.

Watch for power light to blink in a sequence:

1 blink-then 2 blinks-------no error

2 blink-then 1 blink-------X-ray protection

2 blink-then 2 blink-------SHORT PROTECTION*******

2 blink-then 3 blink---------deflection circuit problem

2 blink-then 4 blink---------vertical circuit problem

******2, then 2 is most common---usually means one of the fuses that protect the Convergence IC or IC's is blown---set will detect no voltage to convergence IC and shut down.

SET WILL REPEAT BLINK ERROR CODE UP TO 5 TIMES AND THEN TO GET IT TO REPEAT MORE YOU HAVE TO UNPLUG SET AND TRY TO TURN ON AGAIN.

IF IT IS 2 AND THEN 2---USUALLY
CONVERGENCE CIRCUIT PROBLEM

let me know what you find--hope that you find 2 blinks, a pause and two blinks--this is the most common and easiest to fix.

Can't turn on the TV. Green light keeps blinking.

You need to change the four capacitors C9B01,C9B02,C9B10,C9B11 all 1000 MFD 16 VOLT (on the DM board which is inside the metal shield standing upright on the left looking from the back of the set)The tops of the capacitors will look puffed out making them easy to find. This is your HD tuner digital board which is trying to reboot but can't - when the green light stops blinking after a minute, than you can power on your TV.

Turning off when trying to turn tv on..

If power light comes on for a few seconds and then goes off: On the front of the set press and HOLD both the menu and input (device) buttons at the same time for at least five seconds and then release both.

The power light should blink a two digit error code: 2 blinks, a pause and 2 blinks is the most common.

Tell me model number and what error code you find and I will tell you what it means and if possible what needs to be done.

This is a self check feature all WS model numbers had.

I had a power outage and now the tv will not power on. This is for a 55" Mitsubishi WS-55511. no green blinking lights.

Hi,

You may have a blown fuse. Unplug the TV and remove the back. Look for a small fuse near where the power cord goes in.
If it is blown that may be the problem.
Use a magnifying glass to read the AMP rating.
replace the fuse and plug it in. If the fuse blows again you need expert repair services.

If the fuse doesn't blow then try to turn it on.
If it turns on then check the operation of the TV.

If the fuse blows again or the TV won't work correctly then you need expert repair service to fix your TV.

You may be able to have your household insurance pay if it is damaged by lightening or a power surge.
