Tried to broil a steak on HI (550oF) and after a few minutes the oven beeped and F33 showed on the screen. I followed the troubleshooting instructions in the manual and waited 3 minutes. Set it on HI again and just got my steak cooked (medium rare) when it stopped again and F33 came up.

DId not contact store yet. Is this a serious problem?

From my experience when there is a power outage, This is likely to have wiped out the control board on your oven. I see it all the time after storms. If a storm comes through, I get a ton of phone calls about control boards not working anymore or doing crazy stuff. If resetting the breaker has shed no light on your situation. I would recommend replacing the main control.

Also when you get this fixed, plug the stove into a surge protector of some sort. This will decrease the chances of a power outage doing damage to the oven control.

Hope that helps........

SOURCE: thermador oven control panel light is not working

Please see post by bonanzsapilot on 14 March 2009; he gives exact & easy to follow directions for making this repair for <$10. It's listed uner 'Thermador SC301IT oven - FixYa'. In a separate post I added the correct capacitor numbers from Newark.com. I made the fix in abt 30 min & it's good as new. Thermador no longer makes control panels for this oven & no wiring diagram is available to help. Shop price was estimated at $500.

Try turning off your circuit breaker for a few minutes. Then, after you reset it, push clear, then set your clock.

I selected "proof" and turned the oven on this

F33 ( upper oven over temperature while cooking ) Check sensor should read 1080 ohms at room temp.

You will need to replace the oven temperature sensor. There is no quick fix for this problem to get you up and running on this Thanksgiving day, sorry. Where are you located and I will see what resources are close to you so you can make the repair?

Fan works, but Oven stays at 100 degrees. Tried

I had the same problem in December - I had to replace the circuit breaker and that solved the problem. My oven wouldn't go above 100 degrees in convection, bake and roast modes. Each of these modes are on a separate circuit so when one is bad, the others should work.
