When i use the top ceramic burners on the range, and then if i wish to use the oven i get a "pf" i believe it means power failure, what is the solution for repair?
This one can be a little tricky. I really need to know a lot more information to give you a good answer. You are right pf does mean power failure. This is detected by your power board the is located under the cooktop. If you select cancel the pf should disapear and you should be able to use your oven. You didn't mention whether the control board displayed the pf before you actually tried the oven. If it did, and it gives you that error every time you use the cooktop for a period of time, you could have a problem with the thermister located right behind the console. To remove the console just remove the screws on the under side then lift the console straight up and off.

Hello lornalang - Typically "PF" indicates power failure. Once again try reprogramming the range by either unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately ten minutes and restart unit. If it proves to be ineffective, the range may possibly be experiencing a wiring failure or faulty EOC. Consult a professional to move forward accurately and to assist with the repairs.
