I need to know what my Kenmore electric drying has wrong?? It blows cold air only.......Its a Kenmore 90 series electric dryer....
1st check the breakers
2nd check wiring in back to see connections are secure.
3rd check element. It would be burned in two.
4th check thermal overload switch which is located underneath top of dryer. Easy to remove top. Probably 4-6 screws.
Your best bet would be to call your local appliance repairman and let him look at it. While he is there, have him show you the breaker panel in case something else in the future should give you a problem. If you can, use the company you bought the dryer from in your town or city. It may cost as little as 50-75 dollars to look at. He can tell you the approx cost. Then at that point, you can decide to either have it fixed or buy a new one. A good rule of thumb is if the dryer is much older than 10-12 years you would be better off getting a new one. Lowes, Sears, has a good one for about 350-400. They do have financing if needed. I am sorry I can't be of more help, but this may be your only alternative at this point. The best of luck
Have you had a chance to call the repairman? Let me know how you do on this.
