Can anyone help me?? I have a problem with my S50, Im getting no signal in my car and in my home dock?? It gets a signal for a few seconds then just cuts out??? If anybody out had a similar problem, try and help me out??

My Signal cuts in and out but even when I have a strong signal, I'm not getting any music. Sometimes just static. Steelymax...good reply! Take it to the nearest Radio shack and the tech can examine the problem...why RS? They sell that product and would be familiar with it more in a hands on situation. If you just got it and have your warrenty papers, use them to get it taking care of before anyone or your self tampers with it. (first) Call Sirius and get the warrenty Dept. 3-6 weeks on return...make sure you have all pertinent papers that they will need to process it.
You can also try getting another antenna and trying this...Walmart may have test antennas or Radio Shack may have this too! I hop that this was helpful for you.

I had the exact same problem happen to me yesterday with my S50. My guess is that the software got corrupted somehow. I fixed mine last night be reinstalling S50 software via USB cable to my PC. Note: You need My Sirius Studio application loaded on your PC. Be sure to press Exit button on My Sirius Software Ap after you reinstall S/W. Patiently wait for S50 to 100% complete before disconnecting. Then, manually turn on S50 (while holding in your hand); do NOT put in car/home dock yet. S50 will then update S/W. When this completes, now you can put in dock. I don't exactly recall, but I think the S50 indicated the dock was being updated, then it defaulted to channel 184 indicating to call Sirius to subscribe. Since I already have a subscription in place on my S50, I just pressed channel 2 (The Blend) from my remote, and then my S50 began updating all channels. Success! I'm so happy my S50 is now working again! Good luck to others experiencing same problem; hope this helps! I can only imagine the frustration trying to get help from Sirius folks for this type of problem...
It may be that the dock isn't working, I would return it for a new one to the place that you bought it from to make sure that you have a dock that works.
I have the same problem.....as I also live in AZ...I even bought a new battery online but that did not work. The unit will not power up in the car dock or on my home dock...even with a new battery. Not sure what to do...I do not want to have to buy a whole new unit since I have all the docks for car and home...Help on this would be great!
Call Sirius and verify your account is still active. Also, on the S50 make sure you can see your ESN number. If you can, go to the menu and Reset Channels. If you can't do that on your car kit, try it on your home kit.
Perhaps getting a new battery will do it. RadioShack has some online. You could take you chances on eBay also. Also, because you have all the accessories for the S50, you could buy a new unit on eBay that is used.
The number for Sirius is (800)869-5364. They are very helpful when I had the same locking up problem. They will walk you through the process to update the item. Worked 100%^!
