unplugging & replugging power cord worked a half dozen times, then didn't. unplugging power cord for several days worked and then didn't. repairman came over and switched power cord plug-in location - worked, now doesn't. other website indicates hundreds of people with same issue. i'll be calling repair company to tell them it wasn't the "power strip" afterall - duh.

No picture, red light flashes on panel 50in plasma cineos philips

the blinking light signifies to a repair technician with capacitors or circuits are having an issue they can diagnose the problem via the amount of blinks in between pauses however it will require a technician and some specific tools and schematics to fix and it may be cheaper if its no longer under warranty to purchase a new one

Hope this helped

7 red flashing lights, won't power up..

Check the power board for capacitors with the tops bulged up. They are 3300uf 10v. There are either 2 or 4 of them depending on your set.

Philips tv blinking red light

Hello,

I've seen this problem before with Philips. 6X3X blink was the X-sus or Y-sus boards. In other words, the TV cannot make the picture on the screen properly, so it won't even try and will shut down.

I've also had difficulty getting these parts from Philips (even while being an authorized service center). If you have an authorized service center near you, you might want to give them a try because I don't believe they were too expensive, just hard to get.

I hope this helps you...

Cannot turn it on using either the remote or set top switch. There is a click and red light blinks but no sound or picture. For some time if I hit the on button 5-6 times it would work but now it does not...

the initial symptom is usually caused by microprocessor as it is not initializing correctly. followed by 4 blink error which is i2c communication failure also specific to microprocessor would recommend replacing small signal board as microprocessor is located on that board
