Installed washer in basement, but had to extend the drain hose to 7 feet. Installed a check valve so that water would not drain back. Worked fine the first load but all other loads on the spin cycle all the water does not go out and it spins very slowly. If I drop the hose to floor level on this cycle it works just fine, but I have 2 1/2 gallons of water in a pail to carry upstairs. My wife is unhappy. Do I need a stronger pump as I cannot lower drain pipe. Thanks.

If the water stops when you press the timer in then it is the hose to the water level switch or the switch itself. If you have to turn the water off to stop it then it is the fill valve( where the hoses connect)
pull the front panel off you might find a small hose going from the control panel to the tub see if it came off if so just re-attach. If you have to turn the water off to stop the water then it is the fill valve and check the drain hose from the tub to the pump that it is still attached.
