Hi
Please help! I have a Fisher and Paykel MW511. The tub doesn't seem to fill with water at the start of the wash, although there is clearly water coming through the hoses. It would seem that the water is simply draining straight out as though someone's forgotten to plug the outlet. The machine would then stop filling altogether and beeps intermittently until I push "start" again. It is then a lottery whether the machine will fill properly or not. It is an intermittent problem, occurring maybe once every 3-4 times I use it. Anyone has any suggestions?
In the middle of a load, washer started beeping every second. Tub filled with water but could not get it to advance to spin cycle. Tub seems to have dropped to bottom of machine. In the middle of a load, washer started beeping every second. Tub filled with water but could not get it to advance to spin cycle.

Check your drain hose to make sure you have not sealed the top of the standpipe (drain line), or shoved your drain hose too far down in the pipe. If you do not allow for an air gap, your washer will fill and begin to siphon through the drain line. It is common for folks to seal the standpipe or shove the drain hose down in the line too far in the belief that it will prevent overflows, or get rid of that nasty drain smell. This can be bad because it does not allow for the proper air gap to keep the water from being siphoned right out of the machine. You may have a tight fitting that doesn't siphon every time which may explain why the problem doesn't occur all the time. Double check to make sure. Hope this helps.

Please power cycle your washing machine by unplugging your machine for 1 minute before plugging it in again.
If this issue reoccurs , then please check that there are no debris at the bottom of the washer. And you can double check whether the washer door is being shut properly.
You need to check your lid switch & out of balance switch for
corrosion and replace if faulty.
Your out of balance switch is under the big yellow motor controller
OOB switch Is where the grey plate is on this picture.
For those with water on floor after wash, check my post on "eco smart won't drain, smells hot". It could be something clogging drainage area at very bottom of the tub. I couldn't see the sock that was stuck in my FP's drain when I looked from the top between the white outer tub and the wash tub--everything looked fine. Then I removed the black motor/white plastic housing piece--Tip back washer and you should see this black electric motor/white housing on bottom. see my post for how to remove and check for plugged drain. it's really pretty easy.
don't know about outer tub holes, but glad i don't have that problem.
i hate my fisher paykel washer/dryer. i can't wait to sell this house--i will leave them here and get a new front load Duette for my next house!
check out the DRAIN MOTOR PUMP , its a small motor with 2 hoses connected to it , it could be clogged , need to remove it , inspect inside the impellers for any debri , clean it , re install and try again , hope this helpful AJ
Having the same problem. Any ideas at all? It's really frustrating.
