Configuration Wap My cell phone is an unlocked one and the internet is not working ever though I'm paying for it. I called rogers and they told me I need to find out how to put all these codes in my phone but I don't know how. Does anyone here know how? I need to use the internet.

That kinda helps and I did get all that information, I just don't know what to do with it and the rogers people said they are not trained to do that.

hi, i do have the same problem with ATT.

I bought a new unlocked sgh D900i just a week a go, and i cannot connect to the web, i always get message " network unavailable"

I called many times Att customer service and asked to fix the problem,

they tried to set the system in their side, but they couldn't fix it, and they talled me that ATT cannot gurantee the internet access for the unlocked phones bought outside their stores (there marchandise are ugly and very expensives). This answer from them didnt satisfy me and i thing they just skiped me.

I steel have the same problem, and any answer to this problem will be helpfull.

    thanks

Bought lg vu unlocked, internet doesn't work!

I did the same thing and after a little online sleuthing i found this solution (it works for me)

go to "menu" then "media net" then "browser settings"
Next go to "accounts" then hit "new" (at the top right next to the title "accounts")
fill in dialog boxes as follows

Account name: Rogers (doesn't really matter what you name it, this will just be the name of the network as it shows up in the menu)
Homepage: mymobilehomepage.rogers.com
Connection mode: TCP with Proxy
Proxy Address: 208.200.067.150
Proxy Port Number: 80
Security: Non-secure
Time out: 150

then click where it says MEdia Net and hit "options" then "new"
fill in the following

Connection Title: Rogers (again doesn't matter what you name it)
Authentication: PAP (don't worry about "bearer")
User Name: wapuser1
Password: wap
APN: goam.com

After everything is complete make sure to select your new option at the bottom (where it used to say "MEdia Net" it should now say "Rogers" or whatever you decided to name it)

Finally hit "save" and activate this profile. You should now be able to access the internet from your LG VU

Changing from Rogers to Fido Sim Card

The problem is not one of compatibility:- it would APPEAR that your phone is locked to Mr. Rogers.
You can get details on the net for unlocking the D807 (no personal experience....) OR you can pay to have it unlocked, then the Fido SIM will work, as will other SIMS for other countries.
