Remote control hi guys im kame i have this viewsonic 40in. tv,idont know what is the product name i only know that is HDMI not HDTV.accidentaly i lost my remote control and i have a hard to find in our country.because there is no outlet here in the phillippines.can i use the universal remote? can u advise me what type or brand of remote control so i can buy it. hoping u would guys solve my problem... thank you

I bought a LCD TV AKAI, 27 inch. the tv does not respond the original control remote instructions, but also does not acept a universal control remote with the asigned codes.

Hi the only remote i am aware of that will work with these is the Logitech Harmony learning remote control, Normal universal remotes do not cover Viewsonic

Without a name, thats almost imposable my friend. Try a Good universal on the manual search. maybe you will get lucky and the remote will work. Good Luck

It is my pleasure to assist you and provide you with information that can help program your remote to your television. The codes we have listed for a Viewsonic Tv to be programmed with a 4.4 IR/UHF Pro remote are: 566, 505, and 760.
I have listed the steps below to assist with programming the remote to your TV. If you have any other questions, let me know at [email protected]!

1.) Press and hold the clear TV button until all mode lights light up.
2.) Release and TV light will be blinking.
3.) Enter code and press #. The TV button should flash 3 times.
4.) Try functions (Volume, Power, etc..) and see if it is working.
5.) If no function, repeat steps 1-4 with another code.

I can't find a Viewsonic N3235W3M. However the N3235W and the N3235W-M use the RC00136P remote. I have a 40in sonybravia KDL 40v4100, 1080p. No hdmi and audio w
HDMI is a video AND audio cable. It carries both at the same time. Typically with a laptop, you have to go into your audio settings and indicate HDMI audio enabled / set ON or whatever your software has. If you use a VGA connection, then you would use a separate audio hookup say from the earphone out on the laptop to the VGA's audio input port on the HDTV. Its all in the settings on the HDMI capable laptop.

Universal remote codes
Hi jamie, did you remember the procedure to scan for the codes ? Normally if your TV is not listed on the manual, you can execute the search mode ponting to the TV. As soon as the TV turns on, press the accept key on the remote. I had the sam problem, luckily I remembered the scan procedure. I have 3 different brand of remote controls, all with scan capability but diffeent key strokes.
