Im having trouble gettin sound out of my jvc ca-hxz1 stereo system in everything is hooked up correctly

Something doesn't add up. You mention two connections to the speakers - CA-9335 and a "simple jvc cd player". Is that true? If so, you might want to UNconnect the CD from the speakers and run it into the receiver where it belongs. An amp isn't designed to share the load with another live device; or even have electrical contact with anything BUT speakers.

Did you actually find documentation that supports this hook-up? Or just winging it?

Open it up and look at the capacitors. The round "tin can" looking components. If the tops appear bulged, then replacing them may help. Check out the YouTube video... and web site...

I am unable to get surround sound to work

The signal don't seems to be present to the sub input.
Try change the wire betwen the audio system and the subwoofer.

the car is equiped with an amplifier. there is a black wire that you didn't connect. just connect it to the blue with white wire from your radio and it should work.

if you have old speakers laying around the house try to see what happens, if you connected the good speaker and still has no sound then the internal amp maybe is bad. Make sure it is not muted also.LOL

Do you have audio outs on you tv to run to the jvc
