I cant seem to get a picture on the projector when connecting to my TV. The blue screen on my projector keeps saying searching for VGA and then searching for composite. What does this mean? Am I missing a cable and how do I resolve this?
You dont connect a projector to a tv. you connect a video source to the projector like a dvd player or a video machine.xbox 360 etc, the projector then projects the item connected to it, like your tv does when you connect similar items.
The projector has a couple of inputs available to it ..this is why it is saying searching VGA and Composite video etc

You need to send your laptop signal to your projector by pressing the FN key and the key that says CRT/or an icon of a screen (this is located at the top of your keyboard). 3l toggles will give you different images. i.e. projector image only, projector image and laptop image or just the laptop and not projector image.
The problem is with the computer, not the projector.
There are special function keys, generally with blue lettering along the top row of your keyboard. Find the one that looks like a double screen or says "CRT". Also locate the blue function key [FN], probably on the lower left on the keyboard.
Press, and hold, the [FN] key and press the [CRT] key to change to dual screen.... and wait for several seconds for the projector to detect it. If it still doesn't work after you have waited, press the key sequence again (there are 3 different screen settings).
1. Computer Screen only (normal)
2. Projector Screen only
3. Both Computer AND Projector screens
There is a key on the keyboard that has blue text on it. Something to the effect of LCD or CRT. With the monitor connected and turned on, press and hold the FCN KEY as well as the LCD/CRT key. While holding the FCN key keep hitting the CRT key until the image transfers to the external monitor
Are you saying that the projection is solid blue? Is it similar to, say, the desktop on the laptop screen? Try moving your mouse off to the right side of the laptop. Did it show up on projector? Exciting! Try dragging stuff over. Damn, this is sweet.
connect the laptop with projector and power up the projector and select the input 'computer' now start the laptop. the Projector will automatically detect the signal. secondly also chek with the display setting set to 800x600 then check with higher resolution.
