SOURCE: how to fit bosch PHO 15-82 planer blades

  1. Unplug from mains and turn planer upside down.
  2. Using Allen key (stored in heel of planer) slacken off the 2 sets of 3 screws that clamp the blade in place. One 360 degree turn should be enough
  3. Use piece of wood or flat screwdriver blade to slide old blade out the side of the blade track.
  4. Rake any dirt out of the blade track with screwdriver blade.
  5. Slide in new blades, check it is correctly centred and tighten screws. Take care not to over-tighten.
  6. Repeat with second blade.
  7. Carefully rotate blade carrier by hand checking that blades are parallel to the sole of the plane.
  8. If blades are out of true you will need to remove them again, take off the blade clamping plates and adjust the blade locating plate, which is held in place by 2 further Allen screws.

Bosch pof400A router. How can I remove the base plate?

I found a diagram of one version of the Bosch POF 400A router here: https://www.powertoolspares.com/bosch/router-pof-400-a.m/0603261106/spares . It looks like the two posts are part of the base plate; look for two socket head cap screws at the top of the posts. These hold the compression springs on the posts. These are part 46 on the diagram. The listed size is DIN86-AM6x16-5.8".

I hope this helps. However, I don't think this model is designed to have the base removed often. The housing may need to be separated to find the cap screws. See the diagram for how the housing fits around the motor of the router.

Can anyone give me the steps to replace in & out rollers on a Ridgid 13" planer? Model # TP13002

On a few Ridgid planers, you can remove the retainer plates that hold the roller's bearing blocks in place without removing the head from the base, on others you have to seperate the head from the base to get at them. The infeed and outfeed rollers are not adjustable in that you don't have to line them up precisely when installing new rollers, they only go in one way. They do install into bearing blocks that 'float' on springs to keep the rollers tight on the wood being planed and there is a difference between the springs on the left and right side. Make sure you install the springs on the same side they came out of. When you replace the rollers you should replace the bearing blocks because they have to work together properly. Check the fit of the old bearing blocks on the new rollers, they should rotate smoothly with no side play. Make the call yourself whether to replace them or not.

I have a Bosch combined oven and microwave (HB86Q650 B) The turntable no longer turns. There is no dirt or grease trapped. Are you able to help please?

Replacement of the turntable motor should be carried out by a qualified appliance repair service.

YOUR SAFETY IS PARAMOUNT!

Attempt this only if you are competent.

But here is a basic method if you are mechanically minded and have electrical safety knowledge.

The motor assembly is fixed to the base of the oven usually with two screws and access is obtained usually by removing the inspection plate directly beneath the motor. It is usually a plug in synchronous motor that revolves at a few revs per minute but the plastic cogs in the motors gear box fail and the motor assembly must be replaced. They are fairly inexpensive and obtainable usually from a domestic appliance repair shop.
If you feel confident, disconnect it from the mains power, remove anything in the cavity and turn it upside down if it is a tabletop model, a little more complicated if it is built in!
Remove the inspection plate, sometimes it must be cut out with sharp cutters, and disconnect the motor. Remove the motor and go and get a new one. Fit the new motor and fit the inspection cover back on the base by turning it to fit and using an extra screw fix it then put the microwave back in its position. Plug it back in, with the turntable and plate. Put a cup of water on the plate inside of the oven and heat for 20 seconds to check the plate goes round.
Hope this helps.

DROPPED MY BOSCH 1590EVSK JIGSAW, REPLACED BENT BASE, BUT BLADE IS STILL NOT PERPENDICULAR TO BASE. CAN'T SEE ANY ADJUSTMENT METHOD TO ALIGN BLADE PERPENDICULAR TO BASE PLATE. HELP

The socket-head screw that holds the sole plate on is also the alignment screw. Loosen it a little and the sole plate will swivel left and right. There are graduation marks on the base to help with alignment but I always use a square to verify the alignment. Tighten the screw and check again that it didn't move and you are ready to go.
