Either the diode most use, the large filter cap, the inverter which drives the Magnetron that does the heating or the Magnetron itself.

SOURCE: My Sharp R-340D microwave works perfectly but Does NOT HEAT FOOD

Waleed, Since the microwave is going through all its motions we can feel safe that the oven and magnetron thermostats are ok. If they were bad you would not have a display. Just inside the control panel to the left, you have 3 switches which the door activates. A primary (top switch) a secondary (bottom switch) and a monitor switch (middle). If the primary or secondary switch is not closing when the door is shut, you high voltage side will not activate, therefore no heat. If the monitor switch failed or found either the primary or secondary switch closed with the door open, it would blow the main fuse and the oven would be dead. Therefore Im leaning on either the primary or secondary switch not operating correctly. When checking these switches, unplug and discharge the capacitor. This is high voltage. Good luck

SOURCE: Kenwood microwave (KEN GJ/SS25) heating doesn't work but grill works

Generally, the most common causes of a failure to heat are:

- bad door switches or door switch mounts
- loose connection at the magnetron
- problem or loose conneciton on the control unit circuit board
- bad magnetron or other high voltage part

If you or a friend decide to look into it, we have critical safety information, info on door switch diagnosis and replacement, and

SOURCE: Microwave will run but will not heat?

**CAUTION**
HIGH VOLTAGE IS PRESENT IN CAPACITORS. THIS COULD SERIOUSLY INJURE YOU. DO NOT ATTEMPT IF YOU ARE INEXPERIENCED! IT IS CHEAPER TO BUY A NEW MICROWAVE THAN PAY FOR AN EMERGENCY ROOM VISIT.

The magnetron probably needs to be replaced. You can test it with these instructions.

SOURCE: Not working

When the microwave sounds okay, but there's no heat, one of the internal door switches, the high voltage circuitry, or the circuit board may have a problem. To resolve this problem, you need the assistance of a qualified appliance repair technician, as repairing microwaves is a pretty risky job.

Carousel stopped turning

see this causes and fix it. God bless you
ough the carousel is usually driven by a small motor that's unrelated to the heating function of the microwave, the microwave cabinet needs to be opened to repair it. So we recommend that you seek the assistance of a qualified appliance repair technician. Inspect the plastic drive coupling that the tray sits on, as well as the ring-and-roller assembly, to make sure that they're working properly

Microwave will on but plate is not rotating

Hi.

If the microwave is heating up, then the problem is either the motor below the rotating plate, the control board or the wiring harness between control and motor. If for the rest the oven is functional, then the problem is almost surely the motor.

If you need parts or diagrams see this tip explaining how to find parts and diagrams for most appliances: Where do I find parts and diagrams for my appliance?

Regards.

Microwave lights, clock, and everything works except when you press start, it just counts down like its cooking, but the microwave is actually not on. No hum as usual or plate rotating. It just counts...

Hi, one of the most common reasons why the turntable won't rotate is that the microwave isn't clean. The turntable guide and carousel can get sticky, preventing the turntable from properly moving. If you have built-on food particles or liquids, fill a bowl with 2 or 3 cups of water and 1 tsp. of liquid detergent and lemon. Run the microwave for about 3 minutes. Clean the microwave with a cloth, including the base of the turntable, guide, carousel grooves and microwave base. Your microwave turntable won't rotate if the grooves on the base of the turntable do not sit right on the carousel. Also, check the position of the turntable guide. Place the guide directly under the turntable. Remove the turntable, and then reposition it into the carousel grooves.
Motor The carousel motor is located beneath the base plate of the microwave. If the carousel isn't turning at all, check the motor. Disconnect the microwave from the power source, and remove the turntable, guide and base plate. Try turning the motor to see if it's just stuck. If it doesn't turn freely after a few seconds, examine the motor to see if it's burned out or corroded. Use an ohmmeter to see if the motor has continuity. If not, you must replace the motor.
Bushings The drive bushings are plastic components that sit underneath the cooking plate. Remove the plate, and examine the bushings. Use a magnifying glass if necessary to see if any debris is caught in the plastic. Clean the bushings, and reinsert the plate. Turn the microwave on to see if it rotates. If the bushings are extremely worn or if some of the plastic is broken off, you need to replace it, which is a complicated repair for consumers. Contact a service technician for assistance.

I can't help with the keypad, but a defective door safety switch can also cause this. They sometimes get out of alignment.
