THICK BLUE LINE VERTICAL LINE ON SCREEN OF MY PLASMA PICTURE
TODAY, 1 WEEK AFTER WARRANTY RAN OUT A THICK BLUE VERTICAL LINE HAS APPEARED ON THE CENTRE OF MY PLASMA TV SCREEN. IT SHOWS WHILST ON TV,VIDEO OR DVD SCREEN. PLEASE HELP. ALSO WHAT ARE REPAIRS LIKELY TO COST. MANY THANKS.

IF THE LINE IS ABOUT 1INCH WIDE THE CHANCES ARE IT WILLBE YOUR PLASMA DISPLY THAT HAS GONE . WOULD BR CHEAPER TO BUY A NEW UNIT . HOWEVER TRY RINGING HITACHI EXPLAIN THE FAULT COMPLAIN THAT IT SHOULD OF LASTED LONGER THAN THE WARANTY AND SEE WHAT THEY WILL DO ABOUT IT

Pixels on a plasma TV are from the zustain boards. You might have one or both of them about to go out. Horizontal lines are most likelly one of your buffers or the screen itself might be going bad. You can buy the sustain boards by part number that you can get from the board itself from www.interliquidparts.com
Picture displaced vertically, picture too high or low
This problem was cured by entering the service mode (menu then
4,7,2,5), then pressing the green fastext button to access geometry
settings, selecting VP1 (vertical position) and adjusting as necessary

Replace L506 on A board, replacement part number 1-407-366-00
