The stirrer on the kettle seemed to be getting stuck on the popcorn which was compacting as the kettle filled. This made the kettle buck kind of like and off balance washer. Now the stirrer broke off or came undone because the pin holding it popped out. I noted that the prongs holding the pin/stirrer blades where bent so I am guessing they need replaced. Everything else seems to work fine. I don't have the model but can get it when Ibuy parts need. Any ideas as to what would cause this and what parts I need to buy? I am using colored oil and adding seasoning as opposed to premeasured packs. would this cause the problem which led to it breaking?
thanks?
There are many ways that this could have caused your problem! Too much popcorn kernels put into bucket!....somthing in the bucket that is causing it too stick! (I would never put salt or any other seasoning in the maker untill popcorn has dropped) anso the heat from the maker itself can cause warping of the metal parts inside over time! I cant tell you what parts to order because i dont know the model number,But If you have all the pats somone of little skill should be able to fix it for you by bending it back into place and putting it back together and trying it! If not come back with the model # and we can help with the parts!

SOURCE: Kettle Keeps jolting out of place
Popcorn popper is approximately three weeks old and now the popcorn clogs up in the hopper (cooker pot), the gear quits turning, and we have to pry the popcorn out. It worked perfectly when we first got it and now it is nothing but a pain to use. We tried several popcorns, cooking oils and amounts of oils, but the problem continues. I noticed the small spring located on the lower shaft doesn't cover the entire shaft. Is it supposed to be longer? Your prompt reply for a solution would be greatly appreciated or we will have to return the unit to our local retailer where we purchased it.

SOURCE: motor turns but gears seam to be slipping
I would look for screw that has loose up and that's proablly why the stirrer will not turn.

SOURCE: popcorn jamming in kettle
The only real solution is to put less kernels in kettle - it pops so fast that it jams up and burns. Adding a little more oil usually helps as well.

adavis_NPG had the right number for Nostalgia Group. The price was $35.00 including shipping when I ordered it.
920-347-9122 is the correct number to call. I got disconnected the first try and had to call back so be patient if it happens to you. The person who answered was very helpful and very friendly.
