When I switch my canon S400, it now identifies as a BJ F360. This has happened after the waste ink full error code was reset. Apparently the F360 was the japanese version. Can anyone help me to solve my printer's identity crisis.
Does it matter? It does not turn your prose into pictgrams does it or images into picures of Fuji in the spring?

I am not being sarcastic
The driver should be common
If you have printer software installed- uninstall it.
Go to/Start printers/faxes- where you see the installed printer- delete it[right click delete.]
Leaving the printer attached- new hardware found should come up.
Ignore the CD- to find on list
Select make - Canon
Select Model S400 [BJF360 may also be listed] make your selection and click install.
The Canon Web site may be helpful
Also www.fixyourownprinter.com
may help
The drivers installed in the O/S libary are the bare escape items - no frills
As I mentioned these work.

As I cannot locate a driver for a BJ F360,I cannot use the printer. If the model identifier can be accidentily changed from S400 to BJ F360, it hopefully can be changed back. Sarcasm solves nothing. Can anyone offer a solution. Thanks in advance.
Problem solved. Had to uninstal printer, roll back driver, disconnect printer, manually instal driver for S400, then reconnect printer. This sequence only, worked. Why?, Who knows, who cares, it worked. Thank you.
