My sister purchased the LG LSC26905TT Side by Side Refrigerator about 3 months ago.
Recently i came home to notice that her kids seemed to have left the fridge door open and it had been beeping for quite some time. After that, the ice maker slowed down to a standstill (No longer making ice) and the fridge didn't stay as cool as it use to and even leaked water onto the floor.
The temp continued to drop so eventually all that was left to do was empty the fridge and wait for a repairman to come out. The repairman determined that the problem was the "Evap Fan Motor" and changed it.
It has now been about 48 hours and although the fridge is cold and the freezer is forming ice at the back (Just a little bit), the ice maker is still not pouring water into the ice tray or producing ice. The freezer is at it's highest temp setting.
Anything i can do myself without calling the repairman again?

See if it works when you pull the filter out and try running it (without the filter in). If it works, try buying a new filter and make sure you have the filter that is made for your specific refrigerator. If no water comes out or no ice is made after pulling filter out, than you probably have a obstruction in the line. If thats the case you should have someone come out to fix it. If your mechanically inclined you can try to do it yourself. I would suggest reading the owners manual first, in the "troubleshooting" section.
You may have a problem with the computer control board in the ice maker. Try this. Turn off the icemaker for about 2 minutes.
Turn on the ice maker and press the clear button. Press and hold this button for 12 seconds to get it to force extract. This will confirm that the motors will work and push the ice cubes out. Afterwards, let it run by itself. If it still doesn't make ice, you will need to replace the icemaker.
