RCA F32665 TV About 15 minutes ago, my screen turned an illuminated gray. Sound works, I can pull up menus and prompts, but regardless of whether the cable , dvd, or antennae feed are on or off, the screen shows gray. When I turn it off, it turns back to normal black. It will go thru and display the menu prompts, but does not show what is being feed into the tv. Help!
You have a problem in the video circuit. Any video that comes into the set is not getting to the picture tube. The menus come from the system control microprocessor. This shows that the input at the picture tube itself is working. Also you system control is working. The signal would have to be traced through the set to find out where the loss is originating. I'm having the same problem. It appears to be some sort of programming issue. Unplug the set for a few minutes, then go through the setup procedure when you plug it back in. This will work for a while, if anyone has a permanent solution please post it.

I too have just become a victim of this annoying problem, but of course the set is nearly 10 years old, and I only paid $40 for mine used a couple of years ago, so I guess I shouldn't complain, but I cannot afford to buy another TV right now! Besides, I just can't justify buying another standard definition set. I think I would not buy anything but an HD capable one at this stage in the game, and that will cost at least $500. If anyone has any suggestions on where I could find parts to fix this problem, or advice on exactly how to do it, please let me know ASAP. Thanks! (It sucks to be poor!)
