Your first step is to upgrade the firmware. OR re-install the firmware.
Do you mean freezing like, lights lock up and stay on regardless of the activity? Which that would point to firmware. Or do you mean that your internet just cuts out? Which I would look more towards your computers browser, possible background applications or even the NIC.
I'm still thinking it could be the nic in your computer causing this issue. But it might possibly be a bad router.I'm still thinking it could be the nic in your computer causing this issue. But it might possibly be a bad router.

Please let me start off by saying that I'm sorry you're having issues with such a great system and I hope that I can easily resolve your problem.
The biggest reason I've seen that causes the system to freeze is an inconsistent internet connection. I play MW2 online quite a bit and for a while I had to reset my system every so often because it would freeze. The way I fixed it was I replaced my old router (antique) with a newer one and kept all the settings to default with the exception of the WPA key; that way if it did disconnect it was easily put back on the network. My first suggestion is to check your internet connection and router.
The second reason that a system could freeze would be that you are playing the game in a different way than what it is meant to be played. Take GTA4 for example. My system freezes if I attempt to put too many cheats in within a short period of time. Many people like to do hacks and stuff for Modern Warefare 2 (MW2) that alter their levels, weapons, titles, etc. If you have tried to alter your game in any way then yes, it will freeze, and you will need to start over and play it the correct way.
The last usual reason that your system could be freezing is that it's overheating. To avoid this, make sure it's:
1) Not on a carpet surface. Set it on something flat.
2) Well ventalated. Do not cover up the ventallation covers and allow it about 1 or 2 inches of clearance all around.
3) Taken care of. Make sure to dust it off and take some canned air to it on occasion.
Good luck. If i've helped you, please help me by giving me the appropriate rating. Please post a comment if you have any further questions regarding this topic. Thank you for trusting Fixya to resolve your problems.
Turn it off for 15 minutes and unplug it from the wall as well. It resets this way. Cisco Systems does have a problem with these and the only hope is to disconnect them for awhile to operate correctly again. After they are about 8 months old they tend to do this all the time
Hi there, in short yes. the reset button on the back will delete all the info on the router however a short press will not. What you will need to do is hold the button down for a good 20 second.... if this does not work then pull the power lead out and push it back in with the reset button pushed in, again for a good few second. Now to view all setting on the router before hand open your web browser up and in the top address bar type 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 the access code for your router varies on the make but can usually be found in the manual.when asked for a user-name and password just enter those (usually theuser-name is ADMIN & the password is PASSWORD or also ADMIN. anyway you shold then be able to view the log and all settings.... hope this help ....Tony A
First, go to ur Router Configuration Page. There are 2 pg into related WireLess Configuration Settings. So u find ur problem into the WPA security configuration is under the wlan Security section, and then you select WPA PSK (Pre Shared Key) and TKIP encryption for Lan security. As well as changing the WPA Mode to enabled, u will need to enter a WPA Pre-Shared Key. So u found, which is a Network key and why to need.
Dave, While of course it may be a capacity issue. Is the video smoother at different times of the day? or is it every 5-10 seconds no matter what time of day. It may be security software checking the stream. How is your firewall/router set? Do you have a designated port for the camera?
Let me know if that helps at all.
Good Luck,
Tim
First of all Reset by pressing a reset button or with the help of a pen. turn if off and restart ur computer
Once you connect ur computer with router.. go to start-run- type ipconfig. if you are getting an ip address in range of 192.168.1.2 to 192.168.1.255,
1.Launch your web browser(IE). Enter ?192.168.1.1? as the web site address.
2.The default password (?1234?)
in internet access setup choose "Encapsulation as ethernet and there should be nothing in username or password.incase you have been provided with username and password from ur ISP then enter those with ip address assignment setting as dynamic.
See if you can open the routers settings page. once you open it follow the instructions given on this link in .PDF format to SETUP ur router for ur internet connection.
