SOURCE: KX-TG6071M 5.8 GHz talking caller id not working

Hi trinigirl, You should not have to do anything to make the caller id information come through. There is no programming to perform for the regular caller id identification on your display after the second ring (it takes at least one ring cycle for the digital information to pass through). Your model also has the talking caller id function, which will announce in English the callers name or a custom name you can prepare in the phone book of handset number 1. With all that said, you are not getting caller id showing after the second ring, then your phone is bad (which is pretty rare for this symptom), or your phone line still does not have caller id activated. To troubleshoot your problem you need another phone line with working caller id and/or a different phone that is known good to pass caller id. That way you can interchange the phones/lines to see if it is your line or your phone. My guess it is your line somehow, though I have fixed phones that won't pass caller id, but rarely. If it is your phone, try rebooting it, thats about all you can do short of sending it in for repair. Let me know how it goes. CG

Everytime the phone rings my wireless connection goes away. I am also unable to secure this network. the model number is f5d8235 4

Your phone is using the same frequency as the wireless router (2.4GHz). It would be very difficult to prevent this unless you change:

1. Phone to corded system.
2. Change phone to cordless DECT (5.8GHz) system
3. Change network router from "G" series to "N" series.

Can I use this fax on a telephone line together with a GE 2.4 GHz Cordless Telephone (Model 27992B)? Will it be possible to recive messages and faxes when no one is at home? Remark: The answering machine...

sure u can: Installation with an answering machine and/or extension telephone: 1. Remove the seal covering the TEL. SET jack on the rear of the fax. Connect an extension telephone or answering machine to the TEL. SET jack. 2. If desired, connect an extension phone to the answering machine. from the user Fax guide: If desired, you can also connect an answering machine or an extension telephone to your fax. ¨ Connecting an answering machine to the fax will allow you to receive both voice and fax messages on the same line while you are out. For details on using this feature, see Chapter 7. (Note: Do not connect an answering machine to your fax if you will be using the distinctive ring feature described in Chapter 2.) ¨ You can connect an extension phone to the fax to make and receive calls like any other extension phone on your line.
