I have a Hampton Bay Miramar 60 in ceiling fan, when you try to turn it on the upper light just blinks and nothing else happens. You can't even turn the blinking light off. HELP!!!

The light on the remote is a battery light. First mistake was buying a store brand fan which are mostly low-end parts. Try adding a different remote w/receiver.
Mine just died!!! Can't get the control in side, and they don't have them in stock at home depot anymore here. OK. All hampton bay fan have a lifetime warrenty... they will take mine back, paid $229, but will only get $106 because they had a close out!!! Good Luck!! I know I loved my fan, going to miss it beauty
