Just use a marker to put a dot next to the start button and another mark to indicate different settings. You can look up the settings online

Hi just read your posting.Now can you check the inlet hoses are correctly positioned.So from the cold water tap the hose must go to the cold valve which has the letter C next to it and the hot has the letter H next to it.If you look behind the machine where the inlet hoses connect the identifying letters will be there.Please reply on how you got on and for further help.Looking forward to your reply.

you don't, you have to replace the control to correct this wear problem, they don't sell just the lettering overlays/

Your washer was manufactured in March of 1993. The manufacture date is determined by the Serial Number. The second letter "C" represents the YEAR of manufacture. The first two numbers "14" represent the WEEK it was manufactured. The 14th week puts the manufacturing in late March. I hope this helps you.

We had same problem with same model machine - basically you have to ignore the letters behind the see through plastic window and write new ones around the dial with a permanent marker that you know are correct and correspond to what you want. It's a lot of trial and error - try and go for the simple dryer function first and mark write the corresponding letter against the dial straight away, then work out the distance between each letter on the proper dial and and you should replicate these distances and letters with your pen.

F H is a sign that the unit has a no incoming water issue, check your hose connections/water pressure,

they can fail try writing a letter to the manufacturer,if there a good company the will help.
