Fax Numbers-Memory? I receive faxes from people who do not put their papers in correctly and therefore get a blank page. Is there a way of retrieving the incoming fax number after the fax has been sent?

Printing a Fax in Memory If you have Fax Storage ON for remote retrieval, you can still print a fax in the memory when you are at your machine: 1 Press Menu/Set, 8, 4. 2 Press Fax Start. 3 Press Stop/Exit. (See Features That Are Not in the Manual, page 6-6 for details.) Polling is the process of retrieving faxes from another fax machine. You can use your fax machine to "poll" other machines, or you can have someone poll your machine. All parties involved in polling need to set up their fax machines to accommodate polling. When someone polls your machine to receive a fax, they pay for the call; if you poll someone's fax machine to receive a fax, you pay for the call. (See Canceling a Scheduled Job, page 6-5.) Some fax machines do not respond to the Polling feature.

OK...I'll ask a dumb question....have you tried to make a copy on your machine.???? If the pages are still blank, just a thought would be to check that you havn't installed the roll of paper in upside down.

Confirm that the sender did not insert the pages to be sent upside-down in their fax machine. This will give you blank pages. Otherwise your fax may have a memory problem.

Here is a possiable problem you got the paper in the wroung way or your lamp is not working check both~)

Put paper in the paper tray and it will start printing msgs in memory

Set your machine to AUTO REDUCTION

Search thru your menus to make sure GROUP DIALING and CHAIN DIALING are not enabled.

The machine keeps in memory only reports of faxes sent or received until the page is full.When the report page is full, the earliest fax is removed to make way for the most recent. Therefore if you sent enough faxes after 4 Apr 08 to fill a page, there will be no record.

if you put the document in right direction(face up or face down)-your scanner unit may be out of order or unpluged firmly into the main board socket check it and reinsert scanner unit plug again.

What happens when you make a copy?
If that is blank, you have a bad scanner.
