There is more to this than meets the eye if youre oven takes a long time on fan setting it may be thermostat but more likely to be fan not turning at all or quickly enough the stat capillary is above oven element and if fan not blowing air away from capillary oven stat will shut oven temp down too soon if using conventional heat eg no fan make sure there are no full size trays directly on bottom of oven this will block heat from bottom element effectively giving only half the heat output.

hope this helps

There is a thermostat inside the oven bay that regulates the tempeture of the oven, this is more than likely gone faulty. Or one or more of the cooking elements are broken.

Self clean will not switch to oven temperature

About 6 times a week we see 'Self Clean' cycles that break ovens. Try removing the mains plug or turning off the breaker for an hour. If that doesn't fix it, you will need a service call on you mystery make appliance. It could be the thermostat burnt out or the control board frazzled.

Self Clean oven temperature is about 880 degrees Fahrenheit.
Self-Clean Ovens
The oven is cleaned by heat, at temperatures above normal cooking temperatures. During the cleaning cycle the oven is heated to about 880 degrees Fahrenheit (471° C.). At this temperature, food soils inside the oven decompose, leaving behind a small amount of ash.

Is it dangerest when your oven beeps f2

Typically an oven beeps when the interior temperature macthes the temperature where you set the dial. This is an audible signal to that fact and particularly helpful when you need to pre-heat the oven. For example it you want to cook something at 350 degrees, you set the dial at 350. When your oven reaches that temperature it beeps to let you know. Some cooking directions tell you to preheat your oven. In that case, when you set the dial to 350 and wait for the beep...you know you are safe to start your cooking process because the oven is now pre-heated to the temperature you set. If your recipe requires a pre-heated oven, and you don't wait for the beep, your taking a guess at what temperature you're cooking your food. Additionally, if you want to know what the internal temperature of oven is and your oven is heated...you simply turn you dial setting and listen for the beep. Again, if you set your oven at 350 and you want to know how hot your oven is... slowly turn the dial setting. If the oven beeps at 275 then that's how hot your oven has gotten. To let it finish heating to 350 just reset the dial and wait for the beep.

Lock would not open after cleaning process has been canceled, oven is still hot

Don't open or try to open the oven door, until it has cooled down completely. The oven heats to a very hot temperature, usually 800 to 900 degrees. The door locks itself once it gets to a certain temperature, and will not allow the door to be opened until it cools below a certain temperature. On some units, this can take hours to cool down enough to unlock. If you try to force it before the cooldown is complete, it usually results in a repair call. If it still will not unlock when it is cool, turn your power to the oven off for 20 minutes, then turn on and reset your oven controls. Sometimes you have to put the oven back into the self-cleaning cycle, and then cancel it immediately to cycle the oven door lock. If it still won't unlock, call a repair company out to service this.
