I have a Umax Astra 600P Flatbed Scanner and would like to get a users guide as I bought this second-had without one. Also, does this scanner have the ability to scan slides? I have in the neighborhood of about 1000 precious slides that I would like to put on my hard drive/CD/DVD. Thanks Neil Vann San Diego, CA
I can really feel/hear your pain antio having tried to help another and then getting less than fulsome thanks for your efforts. If I can get your download link to function I will return with my thanks. OK? And as far as scanning slides the best solution I found is to acquire a dedicated slide scanner such as the one made by Prime film just search on ebay

Your user's guide can be found here: ftp://67.66.169.205/user-guides_manuals/astra_600p/Astra%20600P.pdf As far as I know, it does not have the ability to scan slides just from skimming the manual.
