Windows XP system on a laptop. HDMI converter box between the monitor cable and the HDMI cable to the TV. The screen on the laptop looks normal but it does not fill the TV screen. I've adjusted all the display settings multiple times and in multiple configurations. Zoom funtion on the TV menu only results in the screen over-sizing on the TV and cuts out the boarders of the laptop screen.
If you are only going to use the set with the laptop here is a link to the service manual with electrical adjustments for height, width and other things---"enter at your own risk.'

SOURCE: HDTV connection on TV is not HDMI
The port is called a DVI input. You can find a HDMI to DVI adapter at Circuit City, Best Buy, Ultimate etc..........

This is a common problem, some how you have the closed caption on and turned to the text mode. So to fix this scoll through the tv's menu and find the closed caption and tur it back off
SOURCE: No video in any of the TV inputs
first try resetting and rebooting. reset = menu, 2470, enter.
reset is press reset button and wait for green lite to stop blinking.
if that takes care of it great. if not it sounds like a signal board or dm problem and will need repair. check out www.tv-techs.com
SOURCE: PS3 not recognized by Mitsubishi WD=52525 tv through HDMI
FYI,
PS3 has output settings and would need to be adjusted if you are coming from the RCA input. Check out www.sony.com/ps3 trouble shooting under display problems. I believe the solution is to turn on the PS3 unit and keep holding the I/O button for more than 5 seconds. I had the same issue going the other way.
Good Luck.

If the green front panel LED blinks continuously and the TV never comes on, its an issue with the "DM" board. When these TVs are first plugged in, the green LED should blink for 30 sec. to a minute or so. This is the TV booting up, reading its software. Mitsubishi has been having problems with this circuit for several years. In may cases the only permanent solution is to have the chassis rebuilt by Mitsubishi at considerable cost and inconvience. The chassis may have to be sent back to Mits for this rebuild. Call Mits and ask for help.
