My samsung MP3 player is not detected

My samsung mp3 players is no longer detected by the USb port i tried it on different computer , but unable to see the removable dirve on the computer. please help me to solve the problem.

You see, thats the kinda the same way for me. it like works only on win. xp. maybe the usb thing is dirty. try blowing in it. im sorry if this isnt that helpful. try takin it apart to. its hard but easy at the same time. AaronJ.

I got it to work but then it caught a virus on my friends computer and it won't read any where. Would it return to normal if i reset it?

there are many variables and troubleshooting could be extensive.
1st - insure the ort works with another device.
2nd - look in Device Manager to see if you can find it. If it is under Other Devices with a warning symbol on it, the driver is a problem. If it isn't in Device Manager, the device may have a problem.
3rd - connect to a different port or a different computer.

Not detected by computer

Try to plug it to other usb ports on your computer. If it still not being detected, try to restart the computer then plug it back.

If it still does not work, plug the mp3 player to other computer just to test if this is a usb port problem.

Please check the following:

1. Make sure that the USB cable of your MP3 is known working.
2. Connect your MP3 into different USB port of your computer.
3. Connect the MP3 into different computer to see if there's a problem with the computer or with the MP3.

If the MP3 gets detected using another computer, then there's something wrong with your computer. It could be that there's a drive letter conflict or the USB ports could be weak to detect the device.

Mp3 player downloads

Please do the following to isolate the problem:

1. Connect the MP3 player into different USB port of the computer and make sure that the computer could detect it.
2. If the computer does not detect it, use another computer.
3. Make sure that you have enough memory space in your MP3 player so that you could download songs.
4. Download songs that has .mp3 file format
5. Try different USB cable to isolate the problem.

NOTE: iPod is using different different file format, make sure that your MP3 supports that file format. If not, those songs will notplay in you MP3.

Music software of Samsung YH-925 20 GB MP3 can't regcognized the device

You may get the error that you're getting if there's a problem with the USB port of the computer, with the USB cable, or with the USB port of the device itself.

Try connecting the Samsung mp3 device to a different USB port of your computer. Usually, it's best to connect the device on the USB port at the back of the computer. Make sure that the USB cable is properly inserted on the USB port of the device and on the computer.

You may also try connecting the Samsung mp3 device to a different computer to isolate the problem.

Another isolation is to try connecting a different USB device on the computer, just to check if the USB ports of the computer is working properly.

Try using a different USB cable also, if you have any.

Windows vista does not acknowledge Opal M4002a

If the player is not recognize try to connect the mp3 player ona different usb port and check if it will be detected if still not detected better connect this mp3 player to another pc and check if it will be detected on that second pc if not detected there's a possibilty that the mp3 usb functions is not working fine.

Cannot charge using computer

Enough power for charging not getting to player - your USB port may be less than 2.0, or may be malfunctioning for some reason - try a different USB port first - if still the same result, go into the Device Manager and make sure there is not a yellow exclamation mark by the USB port.

Use the wall charger if it will no longer charge via USB.

Also make sure you are using the same USB cable that came with the player. Makes a huge difference.

Not detected by computer - cannot recharge battery

yay I found a solution! so I kept getting the error about an MTP device, so I did a big search. I am running vista on a 32 bit processor. what you need to download is the MTP installation programme from windows. so click on http://support.microsoft.com/kb/939211
and then just select what processor speed you need. should do the trick! I also downloaded http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=A2E73160-E862-4F19-BB26-C0CAFE798955&displaylang=en initially, but it didn't appear to work. hope that you all get to the bottom of this frustrating problem :)
