Washer stopped working, water would start and stop after a few seconds and not progress. It displayed E5E error when prompted for code. I opened up the back of the machine and noticed that a connector was not connected to the control board, i removed the control board to get a better view of where it belonged, and slid the connector over the control board, closed up the machine and it's back in business.

Hello barnessursula - Typically error code E5E indicates that there is a communication problem. Base on the intensity of the issue, I suggest contacting a professional technician to accurately repair the unit. Technician will need to check the wiring between the main control board and the speed control board. Depending on the diagnoses and if the wiring is bad, it has to be corrected. However, if the wiring is good the main control board will need to be replace or if the problem is not corrected, the speed control board will need replacing.

I had a E5E error on my Frigidaire Gallery Front Loader. I also sparked er 41 and er 43 and er 14. Hmmmm. I found the solution! It was a small white clip with five wires (blue, red, white, yellow, black). It was loose and off the board where it should have been. The board was the motor control board located in a white box(back left corner on bottom if looking straight at washer). I removed the lid off the box and clipped it back to the board. (It fits onto the top of the board , there is a small U-shape where it will go! I popped it in, I actually had to tape it with electrical tape, as when the unit shook-I assume thats how it was pulled off, the wires came out a little). ~JL

SOURCE: Frigidaire Front loading washer error codes E41 and E20

Hi
E20 is a drainage error. If there is water in the drum make sure the discharge pipe at the back of the machine is not kinked or blocked. You should also check the pump filter is not clogged - this is behind the front panel underneath the drum at the front of the machine.

E41 = Control board thinks the door switch is open. This points towards a faulty door switch on the machine.

Hope this helps. Please remember to rate my answer. Many thanks.

How do you fix an e5e communication error on a frigidaire washing machine?

Hey friend, thanks for your inquiry!

I see your Frigidaire washer is displaying an error code "e5e". However, it appears "e5e" is an invalid error code. Let's attempt resetting your range. You can do this by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker to the off position for roughly ten minutes. This usually clears false error codes.

If resetting the power does not correct the issue, could you please inform me of the new error code or if your dishwasher continues to display "e5e" you may want to seek assistance from a professional for proper repairs. -Matt

Frigidaire fafw3801lw3 gives an e5e code

Good Morning Eric, this is JK. I understand that you are receiving error E5E on your dishwasher. It appears the error code you are receiving indicates there may be a communication problem. Check the wiring between the Main Control Board and the Speed Control Board. If you find the wiring is good, you may need to replace the Main Control Board. If the problem is not corrected, consider replacing the Speed Control Board. Hope this helps!

FRIGIDAIRE FRONT LOAD WASHER WON'T START. DOOR LOCK WILL NOT LOCK. DOOR LOCK LIGHT IS OFF. PULL START HANDLE OUT/ NOTHING. HEAR CLICKING WHEN TURNING SELECTOR SWITCH/BUT WILL NOT LOCK DOOR OR TURN LIGHT ON...

Good Morning REDS, thank you for your inquiry!

I understand that your door indicates it is open and your washer will not operate. Try resetting the unit by either unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately ten minutes and turn on the washer. Select a normal cycle, confirmed the latched is securely latched and verify if the washer will start. If the washer will not operate then it possibly have a faulty door lock assembly or a communication problem with the control board. At this point, it would be advisable to contact an experienced appliance repair tech to assist further.

All cycles are working except the spin cycle. I have visually inspected the wiring connections and motor and dont see any obvious issues. There are no error codes and the LED lights seem to be functioning...

Because of the high spin speeds of front load washers, the doors are equipped with a latch and lock mechanism to prevent the door from being opened during the washers operation. These locks will often be actuated by a solenoid or wax motor to ensure they remain latched during the wash cycle. This model uses a two stage lock that latches the door when the load starts, and then when it is time to spin, the second lock engages to ensure the door is properly secured prior to beginning the spin. When this second lock engages, it also closes a set of switch contacts (the auxiliary door switch) telling the control board the door is closed and locked. If for some reason this switch is not closed, the washer will tumble during what would normally be the spin cycle until the entire cycle is complete.

I've been having this issue with my washing machine (front loader-energy efficient),Frigidaire, ATF7000ES1, every time I do a load of laundry it "errors" out every 7 minutes and stops and I have to go down...

this code is general fault code.the first thing to replace would be the door lock mechanism.i have replaced a control board before when there was a similar problem with another machine.
