Hello Jacob J - Try resetting the range by unplugging it or flipping the breaker off. Wait approximately ten minutes and restart unit. If it proves to be ineffective and oven does not bake or broil contact a professional to move forward accurately. Range could possibly be experiencing an issue with a wiring failure, EOC, sensor probe and/or faulty elements which would need further diagnosing.

SOURCE: fridgiaire Gallery series Model GLEB30T8CBA lower elements dont work

I replaced the relay board for the top oven (the one with the transformer) and it works properly now. My issue was only for the top oven so you probably have to replace both relay boards since both ovens have only the top element working.

318022002 is the part number for the relay board with transformer
318022001 is the part number for the relay board without transformer

Yes the one without the transformer is more expensive for some reason.

The boards are on the top of the oven, I was able to pull out the oven about 75% of the way out of the cabinet and easily get to the boards. Just unplugged the connections and plugged them into the new board.

To get the oven out there are two small screws that go into brackets inside the top oven door. Highly recommend taking the doors off the oven to pull it out, much easier to work with.

NOTE: On my old board I noticed one solder joint that was burned out and I since I already had the new board I just replaced but you might want to check that first and see if just a solder fix gets you working again before you spend $$ on a new board.

SOURCE: Whirlpool oven door won't open.

You can try unplugging the over for a while and seeing if that helps. But if that doesn't help you will have to let the oven complete the cleaning cycle in order to regain use.

SOURCE: Frigidaire GM deluxe electri dean (electric oven wall unit)

if you feel through the insulation you can find the two wires that attach to the element pull them through to plug the element back on but there is no plug per say but first are you sure the element is good were there no wires on the element when you removed it should have been two spade connectors with wires on them attached to the element hold my rating till you reply

SOURCE: frigidaire wall oven will not heat up very fast

The clock control has a relay that turns on the element. It could be failed and would require a new clock control.

SOURCE: Oven doesn't reach temperature setting

It could be the plug/receptacle that the element plugs into. It could also be that the elements have separate thermostats and that the one for the lower element is bad. If you can post the model number I can look at the electrical schematic and know for sure if it has one or two thermostats.

Built-in electric oven jtp15w2ww gets to temperature then quits. No error codes.

If your built-in electric oven is getting to temperature and then quitting during a bake cycle, and the upper heating element is not working during the bake cycle but works on the broil setting, it is possible that the problem is with the bake element. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can take:
  1. Check the bake element: The bake element is the heating element located at the bottom of the oven. To check if the bake element is working properly, turn on the oven and set it to bake mode. Open the oven door and look at the bake element. It should be glowing red. If it is not, then the bake element is likely faulty and needs to be replaced.
  2. Check the oven temperature sensor: The oven temperature sensor is a small probe that is located inside the oven. Its job is to monitor the temperature inside the oven and communicate that information to the oven's control board. If the sensor is faulty, it may cause the oven to shut off prematurely. You can test the sensor with a multimeter to see if it is working properly. If it is not, then it needs to be replaced.
  3. Check the oven control board: If both the bake element and the oven temperature sensor are working properly, then the problem may be with the oven's control board. The control board is responsible for controlling the oven's heating elements and other functions. If it is faulty, it may be shutting off the oven prematurely. In this case, the control board will need to be replaced.
It is recommended to hire a qualified technician to perform these tests and replace any faulty parts to avoid any risks of electrical shock or damage to the oven.

My oven will not heat up to temperature

It may be the bake element that has gone out. The self clean usually uses the broil element to heat the oven. And most oven will either put 120 volts to the broil element while baking or pulse the broil element while baking. This will cause the oven to get warm but not hot. Check the oven bake element it cound be bad or a wire may have burned off.

My electrolux EOB5610 wont heat up....the fan works and the grill works but will not reach any sort of temp !!!!

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome. you have a electric oven or a gas oven that won't heat or doesn't heat properly, here are some things you will need to check. The most likely cause of a oven not heating correctly is a defective heating element. You have two types of heating elements in your oven. The bottom element(s) are the baking elements. The element(s) on the top are the broil elements. If you don't see the bright red glow from the element, chances are they are not working or not working correctly. If a heating element is bad, you need to replace the entire element. If your oven is warm and not correctly hot, one of the elements may be bad. In most ovens, when you preheat, both elements are used. This would make the oven to appear like it is working correctly but it is not. If the elements are not working, they might not be getting power. Test the wires to the elements with a voltage meter to make sure they are getting power before you decide to change them out. Many electrical ovens have a sensor that monitors the oven temperture. Ovens that have this sensor usually contain a digital display on the oven. The sensor could be defective. Those without the sensor use the basic mechanical system to control the oven temperature. You also want to check the thermostat sensing bulb. Make sure the bulb is good and has not come loose. Now, if you have a gas range oven that doesn't heat properly, first, you want to check your bake igniter. It may have burned out or it could be not working properly. It will be located near your burner. It is also possible that you are not getting gas to the burner. If so, it may be the gas safety valve or the igniter. You need to check your selector switch and thermostat as well. They may be defective. Always make sure you test the parts for power with a voltage meter of some type before you decide to change the part. If you have a part that appears to not be working, it may not be getting power because of a bad wire or broken connection.

I dont no how to pre heat the oven

To pre-heat an oven is to simply turn it on to the desired temperature and wait 5 to 10 minutes. If you have a timer then set the timer for the desired time you want to pre-heat then begin baking as usual.

There is no magic to pre-heating an oven and everyone that bakes has a different opinion.

I have a SMEG SE398X-5 wall oven that does not heat up. The light inside & the controls comes on but will not heat up so there is power to the controls & lights but not to the element & fan.

Hi.

If both baking and broiling element do not heath above a certain temperature, then the part to be replaced is the temperature probe, still located inside the oven cavity.

A faulty temperature probe will keep circuit to the heating elements open, affecting both broiling and baking function.

The temperature sensor can be tested removing it from the oven cavity and reading Ohms on the sensor wires. If the circuit is open at room, then the temperature probe must be replaced.

My upper oven/ convection function on my dacor ecs230b will not heat

Bake and convection bake settings both use the bottom bake element to heat. It would be unusual for bake to work without conv. bake working. You also have pure convection which uses a different element surrounding the conv. fan on the back of the unit. If you press a feature and nothing happens it's the touch pad. If it comes on then turns back off it's probably the ERC (clock). If it comes on and wont heat only in pure conv. possibly an upper relay board or element problem.
