I have absolutely NO idea how to use my built-in Telex microphone. I try participating in voice calls on msn, but it never works. The microphone volume is not muted, by the way. And I see/have no wires or jacks to plug in anywhere. Mind helping out a clueless, desperate person?
There should be microphone cable that plugs in the back of the monitor to the back of the pc microphone jack. It's color coded PINK.

Go to the Control Panel, and click on Sounds and Audio Devices.
Under Device volume, click on Advanced.
Under Microphone, check the Mute button. If the "Microphone" section is missing, go to Options -> Properties, and under the Playback section, enable it.
