It sounds like you may have a bent hinge which is what the blade slides onto. Please call Andis customer service at 1-800-558-9441 to speak with a customer service rep. They can give you instructions on where to purchase a new hinge or send or clippers in for repair.

hi, not sure of the sharpener you have but to be honest it is very hard to sharpen blades getting the correct hollow grind is essential we receive lots of blades that have been ruined by other sharpening companies.

I have had this same problem!  I bought new blades, sharpened old ones, and nothing worked.  Finally, I went to an authorized service center and they couldn't figure it out.  Then the tech. pressed on the blade (the outside bottom one) and it cut!  When you remove the blades with the 2 big screws, there are 2 more smaller screws inside under the smaller blade.  One of those was not screwed in tightly.  That was all it was!  I guess they jiggle loose.  I hope this helps!
