Just bought this mp3 player and it will not turn on unless its plugged into the computer/charger.. No music and never been used till I opened it. Please Help!!!

I found this in the reviews on Amazon UK. It seems like this is a common problem with this unit.

Bought this for my daughter for Christmas (not from amazon another store but i cant leave a review but people need to know this before buying this item)looked great when daughter opened it she was really impressed (massive moshi monster fan) couldnt wait to listen to her music on it, plugged it all in charged it put music on followed instructions, gave it to my daughter to use and it would turn on nothing. my partner (who is a tech geek) tried again but nothing, no matter what he did it wouldnt turn on unless plugged into the computer, so had a very upset little girl, so ended up buying her an ipod as we know they work. in other words looking for an mp3 player just spend an extra money and get an ipod shiffle instead of wasting your time with this rubbish.

Yes you can, the USB cable is used for transferring music files to the MP3 player as well as charging the MP3 player. If your Blackberry charger has a USB socket that the MP3 player can plug into, then it will charge the MP3 player.

Hi there, I can not really make out if youhave tried to locate and open your files through this method; Plug your mp3 into the computer through the usb cord. A window will appera in less then a minute (a fast computer it will be seconds) a window will appear asking you what you want to do with this'device"..Close that window (x). Click the "start" button on the screen (in one of the screens corners), a menu will drop down, click on "my computer". This will open up a window. In this window you will see numerous "discs" listed (for example, the harddrive is usually disc (c)...)I had a mp3 player that was under disc letter (f) and I've had a mp3 player that was under disc (e), I don't know why, but you need to open any "discs" you have. one by one (skipping disc (c) the harddrive usually). Once you open a disc you are looking for a folder (it could have the name of your mp3 on it, or it could be just some wild numbers, sometimes it's actually marked "music"). Just open any folders till you see the music, pictures or video's you are looking for, then you'll have found the folder to your mp3, now you can copy the song you want (or mp4 jpeg etc) and paste it in this folder and it will appear in your mp3...

You will have to drag music onto it from your hard drive that you either bought, downloaded, or converted to MP3 format.

1. Plug in the MP3 player via USB to your computer
2. Choose to Open Folder and view files
3. Open a new folder and go to where you have MP3 music
4. Drag the music you want on your mp3 player from your music library

NOTE: Make sure to use the function "Safely Remove Hardware" on Windows computers, before unplugging the drive otherwise you can cause the player not to work correctly.

Player can be reset from a lock up by pressing and holding "PLAY/PAUSE" and "Vol +"



Try updating the firmware with Device Manager on the product CD.

try to recharge it at the charger not at the computer,and when it is full charged plug it into computer
