Question about Mitsubishi VS-50605 50" Rear Projection Television
Can I ask you why you think the microprocessors bad? I have never in all of my years of repairing Mitsubishi TV sets ever had a bad microprocessor. Did a tech tell you this? Let me know what the symptoms are.

No, a microprocessor will not cause this problem, I would ask the owner to give you back your money But if you could send a picture I will diagnoise it for free! Post it here!
Or send it to [email protected]
Oh man you need convergence IC's not a micropricessor. There are two IC's that need to be changed.
Nope I'm afraid it is not that easy mny friend

Tech came to the house and said it needed a new microprocessor. TV symptom is the picture is wavy and colors are blurred. He said $400 bucks and two weeks in the shop. I paid him $45 for the visit and said thanks but no thanks.
Okay great, thank you. The $45 bucks is gone. I will send you a photo but it will be tomorrow. Thanks!
Okay I got to see the problem myself first hand today. I looks like a yoke pin cushion problem. The sides pull in and the convergence is off badly except right in the center of the screen. About the size of a softball in the center it's okay.
A photo is attached Thanks!
Okay but can you see how the screen bows in on the top, bottom and both sides? I would think the convergence being off is the result of whatever is causing it to bow in...?
Have you seen convergence IC's cause this kind of problem before? It kind of looks like it would if you pulled the yoke back on the picture tube.
Okay, so if it's the convergence IC's, are they in pluggable sockets? Where can I get them etc? Thanks
I have the same problem, and a have changed 2 output big IC, but the problem is present yet, I was thinking in the EPROM COVERGENCE IC have problem, BUT I not sure.
