14times blinking error on mitsubishi electric mr slim

14 flashes is a fault code. You need to determine which light is flashing and look at an online Mitsubishi fault code analysis chart for your model. The light(s) that flash determine the fault. Power, defrost, timer light flash all mean something different.

New Mr. Slim system just installed. Set to "Heat." Temp setting adjustment on the remote control will not go below 59 degrees. Is that factory setting? Set at 59 it keeps room at 70 degrees,...

I have a related concern. I put the Mr. Slim unit in my garage/workshop and most of the time need it just to keep the pipes from freezing. I'd like to set it at 45 or 50 degrees, but the lowest it allows is 59. I bought this to save energy, but it's forcing me to keep the room warmer that I'd like.

No heat generated from the inside unit in Misubishi Mr. Slim

If you do not have a windbaffle installed on the outside unit the unit may never come out of defrost in low ambient temperatures. Depending on the outside temperature it might be telling the pcb to stay in defrost to keep the compressor from slugging and being damaged.
