VGA Enable
Jumper JPG1 allows the user to enable
the onboard VGA connector.
Make sure this jumper is between pin 1 and pin 2.
The jumper is at the bottom of the motherboard, just about in the middle of the bottom edge.
If this jumper is between pin 2 and pin 3 it disables the onboard video.

SOURCE: SuperMicro H8DCE-O R Motherboard no video

did you plug up toe power to the video card, the problem seems to be that the video card is getting no power, if the power is hooked up properly to the video card, the your power supply is probably not powerful enough.

Are you hooking up The 24 pin ATX J1B1 connector and the 8 pin processor power connector JBW1 ? Alot of guys don't realize that new AMD's get power from a special connector on the motherboard..If you don't have this connector on your power supply you will need to get one that does. Hope it is this easy.

Hi I have a supermicro x8sti Server Board inside

Basically you have two choices for installation of video card:
1. To purchase small form factor PCIe card suitable for installation on 1U server chasis or
2. Purchase PCI express riser card and to install most full-sized PCI Express cards (Check this link for PCI Riser )

Cant install server 2012

Hello download a manual from the homepage:

http://www.supermicro.com/products/motherboard/xeon3000/3210/x7sbe.cfm

Check the settings in the bios.

Try to reset the bios to factory default.
And setup basic boot settings for the drives.
First boot device: cd/dvd
Second: the harddrive.
Try installing with only one harddrive (you can always add more later)
Check also the cd/dvd drive for fault.

The Os server 2012 is supported.

Good luck

X8dt3 died after reboot. 5 beep code

The beep code error message depends upon the BIOS manufacturer.
This beep code may not be correct for your BIOS.
5 Short Beeps Your motherboard is complaining. Try reseating the memory and rebooting. If that doesn't help, you should consider another motherboard. You could probably get away with just replacing the CPU, but that's not too cost-effective. Its just time to upgrade!

Supermicro x8sax memory bank issues

The X8SAX motherboard has 6 memory slots. Try booting with one memory stick in each slot to identify which memory bank (dimm slot) is giving you issues. If you are able to boot off of a good slot, check the BIOS version to make sure you have the latest installed (R 2.0b). It can be downloaded here: Super Micro Computer Inc Products Motherboards Xeon Boards X8SAX

If you are unable to get into the BIOS at all, check the warranty status and submit an RMA request to Supermicro:

How i solve supermicro x8dt3-f display problem

Make sure JPG1 is jumpered between pins one and two.
Pin 1 is on the left.
JPG1 is on the very bottom of the motherboard, near the end of the PCI slot.
Next go to Advanced Setup Configuration if you can get any video, and check Boot Graphics Adapter Priority.
Make sure it is set to Onboard VGA.
If no video, reset the BIOS.
Onboard VGA is the default.

Hello, I have buy a Supermicro X8DAH+. I have mount 2 x Intel X5670 on the motherboard. When I push the button to start the system, the power is on, the fans run, I ear one beep but the power led...

I dont have specific info on this board, but most of the time you may need to set up a jumper to support 2 cpu's or with the 1 installed go into bios and see if there is a setting there that you can set. Another possibility may be the other chip is bad...swap the 2 out to see if it works...then you can rule that out...go to www.supermicro.com/manuals/motherboard/5500/MNL-1060.pdf...this is the manual for it...

Supermicro x6da8 won't post. Can't get into BIOS either.

disconnect all power connections to the board and take the battery out for a few minutes and then put it all back and see if you can acess the bios. If you still cant, try a bios flash and if that brings you no joy, board is done

My supermicro mother board can not pick this type of SDRAM PC133U-333-542, meanwhile the memory slot is SDRAM

You are using the wrong memory.
A SuperMicro 370DLE only supports registered memory.
The U in the code shows that the memory you have installed is unregistered.
It will not work.
Exchange the memory for registered memory ,and the system should work fine.

Need help on SuperMicro SuperServer 7043M-6!!

ok, all you have to do is reset CMOS. the same thing happened to me once I tried to install windows on my supermicro board. What you have to do is load the bootable CD that came with the board and follow the instructions in your book.

What happens is that windows does not have the drivers for the supermicro RAID and SATA components. The board will recognize these on it's own until you go to install windows improperly. Windows does not have the drivers for those, realizes it, and says "Windows has stopped to prevent damage" but it does it anyway. Just clear CMOS, read the book with the board on how to install an OS, and try again.

Clearing CMOS: This can be done by taking out the 3.5v watch battery you see on the board for about 5 minutes. Another and riskier way is to clear CMOS by shorting the pads. On a diagram of your board, you should see CMOS Clear. Find those two pads on you board in that general area from the diagram. You'll know you've found it because the board has CMOS Clear printed near them. Just touch them with a screwdriver for 5-10 seconds. CMOS should be clear and ready to start new.

WARNING! Be careful when clearing CMOS with the pads, if you stick the screwdriver in the wrong place, you could damage your board. Be sure to unplug your power supply before working on your machine (I'm sure you know this.) and be sure to get the correct drivers for windows this time! Oh, and rechange any settings you changed in CMOS since it has been reset to the factory defaults.
