Doesn't type on paper.

Display arrow is on NP. How do I release that?

  • lstopar Jan 16, 2009

You were right on the money! The print cartridge was stuck. After fixing that the machine works just fine. Thank you very much. Do you know how I can obtain a manual for this typewriter? It's a great machine and has so many features I could be utilizing, but without a manual I don't know how to engage them. THANKS AGAIN!!

On the older Canon 6085 copier

From my understanding there are two types of NP 6085 copiers. To get into the service menu on the older type you will need to open the doors above the 2 paper trays and look on the right hand side for a small hole. Once you find the hole insert a bent paper clip into the hole to depress a switch. If done correctly you will see an S in the upper left corner of the display. Then hit the following *4*. that will put you into service menu.

How do I change the printing settings from envelope to paper? I have a Lexmark x642e.

I don't have one right in front of me but it goes like this. Press the menu button. Information menu should be in the display..select it...arrow down to paper menu...select..arrow thru till you see paper type...select...scroll thru/arrow till you see the tray or feeder that you want to change..select..then it will give your paper type selections where you can change the setting. Now like I said..I'm not right in front of the printer. I think the paper menu is a sub menu under the information menu...if not it is its own menu below the information menu. Either way....scroll/arrow around a bit and you'll fiind it.
Hope this helps!
