What do I do for tv switching from tv to various video modes and cycling through set up screens
When the tv is turned on it will all of a sudden change from tv to video 1, video2, video 3 and so on. It will cycle back to tv and then sometimes just stop at one of the video. In addition to this now the set up screens are coming up by themselve and it cycles through set up screens without touching anything. I have removed batteries from the remote so it is not the problem
So now the tv is on but it keeps cycling through the set up menus?
Please advise

You'll need to switch the TV into Video mode. Most TV sets will have a button on the front panel labelled "input" or "tv/video," and pressing this button will cycle through the various inputs your TV has.
Alternatively, this button may be located on your remote control.
Rarely, no button exists, and video input is selected by changing the channel below channel 2; as if you were trying to select channel 1. This will select the video input on sets without a separate input selector button.
Resetting the TV If the buttons on the remote AND the buttons on the TV case do not work (channels do not change and you cannot open or navigate the menu), the TV has stopped responding. Reset the TV as follows:
NOTE: Some TVs have a reset button. If available and accessible, try using the reset buttons before using the steps below. Using the reset buttons can save time. 1. Unplug the TV power cord from the power outlet. 2. Unplug any connected devices (DVD, Set-top boxes, etc...) 3. Press and hold the TV power button for five seconds. 4. Plug the TV power cord back into the power outlet and turn on the TV. 5. Open the on-screen menu to confirm that the TV is responding again. 6. Turn off the TV and reconnect the devices. 7. Turn on the TV.
Hi there, my husband fix the problem. My small son had changed the settings for the HDMI. My husband switched the tv to DVD mode started a dvd & changed all the settings back. After changing all the settings he also reboothed the setbox machine.
it sounds like you need to get a universal remote that has an av setting on it usuall this is 0 or an av button this shoud toggle between these modes sorry couldnt be any more help
I had the same problem when I got the TV from someone and I didnt have a remote. I went out and got a ONE FOR ALL remote and once I got it set up I had it in VCR mode and hit the AV button and now I can get to the channels. Hope it works for you.
The TV is in the DEMO mode. Many sets have a demo mode, and they are all turned on and off differently. I do not recall exactly how it is done on the Toshiba, but if you look in your owner's manual or go through all pages of the menu, you should be able to find the option for demo mode and be able to turn it off.
It sounds as though the TVs in a demo mode. Has someone recently been over and was playing with the remote. If so go into the menu of the tV set and look for set up and demo mode. Turn off the demo mode. if this doesent help call i-866-427-3946 and talk to the customer service deptartment. Good Luck
* The MPEG Playback function works in M. PLAY mode only.
* You can play moving picture images on the Memory Card.
* To hear sound during MPEG4 playback, you must hook up to a PC and listen to the PC's speaker. (You cannot hear it from the speaker on the camcorder or a TV)
1. Set the mode switch to MEMORY CARD position.
2. Set the power switch to PLAYER mode.
3. Press the MENU button and turn the MENU DIAL to highlight MEMORY.
4. Press the ENTER button to enter sub-menu.
5. Use the MENU DIAL to select MPEG4 from the sub-menu. (M. PLAY SELECT)
6. To exit the menu, push the MENU button.
7. Using the (FWD) and (REV) buttons, search for the moving picture that you want to playback.
8. Press the PLAY/STILL button.
The moving pictures recorded on the MEMORY CARD begin playing back.
Is this something I can fix myself?
